  • “Allendale is a lovely place, everything you need on the doorstep.”

The cottage was lovely albeit very dark and dated. This was okay if the cottage had been clean. There were cobwebs everywhere, lots of areas in the cottage had not been dusted. My granddaughter found a packet of contraceptive pills on the bathroom windowsill!! This proved to me that the windowsill had not been cleaned. The bedding was clean but very faded, the pillows and quilt had a musty smell about them, again all been used for a long time, so needed replacing. I received an email ...

I received an email from yourself telling me about Covid guidelines, and yet the cleanliness of the cottage did not meet these guidelines. I hope for future reference the owners pick up this feedback and action it, such a shame because it could be a lovely cottage.
