An immaculately-presented semi-detached cottage, situated next to the owner’s home, on the edge of the village of Allithwaite, on the South Lakeland Peninsula, close to the Lake District National Park.

This superb Allithwaite cottage provides spacious, contemporary accommodation, ideal for couples and families who wish to enjoy all the area has to offer.

Formerly a lodge to Boarbank Hall, this cottage near Cartmel has many charming features and has been sympathetically restored to provide two bedrooms, a sitting room with a soft leather suite, warming woodburning stove and distant bay views, as well as a separate well-equipped, fitted kitchen with dining area.

Outside this Allithwaite cottage is a small patio, ideal for watching the evening's sunset, whilst enjoying a cold drink.

The South Lakeland Peninsula boasts a gentle climate and distant views of Morecambe Bay to the Lancashire coast, with the village of Allithwaite itself offering a shop, Post Office and two pubs serving food.

Two miles away is Cartmel, which is a quaint typical English village, with a stream running through the centre and has some very famous restaurants, perfect for that special occasion.

Cartmel is also famous for its medieval priory and home of the delicious sticky toffee pudding – a perfect gift to take back home.

Just 9 miles away is Fell Foot Park, a National Trust property on the shores of beautiful Lake Windermere, where you will find an adventure playground, charming gardens and you can even hire rowing boats and kayaks, subject to availability, and within driving distance is the South Lakes Wild Animal Park, which is great place to go with children.

The historic village of Cartmel, renowned as the prettiest in the Lake District, is just 2 miles away, and boasts charming streamside walks, quaint cobbled streets littered with antique shops, traditional pubs and the acclaimed Michelin Star-awarded L'Enclume restaurant. It is also home to the famous priory and racecourse.
