• "The cottage was gorgeous and a great location."

  Unfortunately the upstairs shower was leaking when we were staying so we only had the main bathroom to use for the 4 guests. Aside from this we would happily book to stay again in the future and we had a brilliant trip.

  The Cottage is a lovely place to stay being close to the centre of Ambleside. The cottage itself is very comfortable with owners making the most of the space that is available. • "What a lovely cottage, the owners have thought of every little detail."

  In a fantastic location seconds from all amenities. The appliances etc were all top of the range. Really comfortable beds and pillows. I was a little bit worried about the parking permit and if I would always find a space but even over the bank holiday weekend it was no issue!!!

  Super comfortable beds and good bathrooms. Lovely to open the upstairs window and hear the blackbirds singing and jackdaws hopping around chimney pots. Great days out walking (no need to drive), beers and food in local pubs (cottage is at the heart of the village) and evenings by the fire.

• "Cosy cottage was just perfect!"

  It's in a fabulous location, just a stone's throw from the main Ambleside public car park and the town centre. It's well appointed, very comfortable and lives up to its name. Ambleside is an amazing spot of you want to go walking in the fells as there are so many that are accessible without driving. Cosy cottage was an absolute gem and I would most definitely stay again!

  Good parking arrangement in parking lot very close to the cottage. Very good facilities…recently renovated it appears. Superb shower with plenty of hot water. Kitchen has all needed items in good condition. Overall a very comfortable, enjoyable stay. Thanks.

  So many small details that have clearly been carefully considered and made our stay so enjoyable. All the facilities were of top quality, amazing bedding and towels, super crockery and appliances in the kitchen, exceptionally comfy beds and much more! Great central location for the local amenities too. Car parking no issue at all. Would love to return on a future break!

  The cottage was as described, very convenient for the center of Ambleside and the car park. The parking permit provided was very helpful and as it expired while we were there we were happily surprised when the new one was delivered during our stay. I would definitely stay again and would happily recommend Cosy Cottage.

  One thing we hadn’t anticipated was that there wouldn’t be an initial supply of logs for the stove. We’d have brought some from home if we’d realised. We hope to book again next year!

• "We loved our stay in cosy cottage."

  Everything was as we expected and we appreciated the good quality accessories in the kitchen and throughout. The cleaners did however overlook a used towel that had been left by the previous occupants which considering COVID was a little clumsy as they are meant to take more time to clean thoroughly. This is a lovely little cottage and owners have really made the most of the space.

  Both bedrooms are good superking size beds with great bathrooms and lots of storage. Also the close proximity to the centre of Ambleside was great. All in all would definitely rebook this cottage
