    “Quaysiders is in the perfect location, parking is always a challenge in the lakes during high season but at quaysiders you can park your car and either walk or use the boats to get around.”

The property

Located just a two-minute walk from the magnificent Lake Windermere, this modern apartment is perfectly situated near the village of Ambleside in the Lake District.

With access to onsite leisure club facilities including an indoor swimming pool, whirlpool and sauna, this luxurious apartment is perfect for groups of friends or families looking for a relaxing getaway with plenty to explore nearby.

With either a balcony or a terrace with garden furniture to relax after a day of pampered luxury or exploring, the two bedroom apartment features a well-equipped kitchen and a sitting area with a TV, DVD player and hi-fi system.

There is also a dining area in the sitting area, as well as a double sofa bed.

The double bedroom includes a TV and there is also a twin bedroom.

There is one bathroom which features a shower over bath, hand basin and WC.

There is also the convenience of a drying cupboard, ideal for putting your coats after a day out in the elements.

The apartment also features a private courtyard with BBQ facilities and a laundry room, which has shared use with guests staying in the other contemporary apartments.

Holidaymakers can enjoy the delights of Waterhead where the apartment is situated.

Waterhead has shops, bars and restaurants which are right on your doorstep.

Within just a 10 minute walk is the delightful village of Ambleside, where there is a large variety of shops, restaurants, tea rooms and bars.

Hayes Garden World is only a few minutes away from the apartment, offering an assortment of goods to suit everyone’s taste.

If shopping isn’t your scene, Ambleside has many beautiful walks, and you can enjoy the stunning scenery of the largest lake in England, Lake Windermere, just on your doorstep.

Of if you’re into history, you can explore the Ambleside Roman Fort which is a few minutes away.

If you’re looking to venture a bit further afield, then you can jump on the Lake Cruisers and explore the beautiful villages dotted around Lake Windermere.

The historic market town of Kendal, just on the outskirts of the Lake District, is worth visiting.

Only a 30 minute drive away, there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants as well as a large castle and historic museum in Kendal to keep everyone happy.

About the location


Windermere 4 miles; Grasmere 4 mile; Keswick 15 miles.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
