    Nice to have outside furniture and a barbecue. Nice off road parking. Property could do with a bit of a makeover and the house could do with a good clean, with the current situation of covid and not been able to access the property til 16.00 so house could be cleaned properly, we found it to be rather dirty, floors not cleaned properly under furniture, lots of dust and cobwebs in various places. If the house had a good makeover it would meet all expectations.

As the evening draws to a close, head up to the first floor to retire to one of the bedrooms, including a king-size double and single room to the front, and a double to the rear.

Each bedroom enjoys soft furnishings in a neutral colour tone and is served by a family bathroom with choice of bath and shower over, so you can choose the best way to prepare for the day.

Climb another flight of stairs to reach the games room, furnished with bean bags and cushions and providing entertainment with a TV and a DVD player to keep the whole family occupied.

Spend time outside on the raised decking, a delightful spot to enjoy your morning coffee or return here in the evening with a refreshing and rewarding drink after a day of walking the fells.

The bustling atmosphere of Ambleside is just a gentle stroll away, home to a number of eateries, traditional old pubs serving an array of award-winning local ale, and a unique cinema where for the price of your ticket, you can enjoy a film, live jazz music and a lovely meal.

A trip to the Lake District wouldn’t be complete without a cruise onboard one of the iconic Windermere steamers, which stop off at several towns and villages around the lake.

Catch one of these steamers to stop at Bowness-on-Windermere and visit the World of Beatrix Potter where you can see her children’s tales come to life in a magical indoor recreation of the Lakeland countryside, or stop off at Lakeside and visit the enchanting Lakes Aquarium, home to the largest collection of freshwater fish in the country, with both offering exciting options for families.

Lying at the northern tip of Lake Windermere, England’s largest lake, Ambleside makes a superb base for touring the central Lakes, with Grasmere and the Langdale Valley just a short drive away. There is plenty to do here - cruises, boat trips and watersports on Lake Windermere itself and numerous shops, restaurants and pubs in the village to suit all tastes. On the lakeside at Waterhead, the parkland offers lovely views down the lake and a short stretch of beach, whilst a walk in the other direction, following Stock Ghyll through woodland, will bring you to the entrancing waterfall of Stock Ghyll Force. Along with the Lake and the great walking on offer, Ambleside is also famous for its annual rushbearing ceremony and the diminutive 17th century “Bridge House” - one of the most photographed buildings in the Lake District and now the National Trust Information Centre.
