The property

This is a characterful, quiant little cottage in the recognisable village of Arncliffe, the original setting for Emmerdale Farm.

A small family would adore this charming cottage in such a stunning, scenic location.

The living area is open plan with traditional flagstone flooring and an old-style open fire, giving West View a typical cottage feel.

The kitchen area is fresh and sleek, with splendid wooden beams complete the cosy feel of the ground floor.

The upstairs holds two pleasantly-decorated bedrooms boasting delightful linen and features, accompanied with some stellar views of the surrounding countryside.

A real vintage family bathroom completes the interior of West View.

To the front of the property is a charming park bench next to the footpath, allowing you to watch this splendid community go by.

The village itself is in an idyllic location, and not only was it the place where Emmerdale used to be filmed, but the village pub was also the famous Woolpack pub that featured in the soap, people still travel for miles to have a pint in there.

Arncliffe is an excellent base if you are looking to experience the most idyllic scenery and best walking opportunities in the Yorkshire Dales.

The walk to Malham over the surrounding hills is highly recommended, as well as travelling to the nearest town, Skipton, an attractive town with a great range of amenities.

West View is a pleasant cottage in an idyllic countryside location.

About the location

ARNCLIFFE

Malham 8.5 miles; Skipton 10.5 miles

A beautiful, well-known village in the civil parish of Littondale in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. You may recognise this delightful village, especially if you're a TV soaps fan as Arncliffe was the original setting for Emmerdale, with the Falcon Inn pub acting as the Woolpack in the show. The River Skirfare runs through the village and is rife for fishing. As well as having some incredible natural scenery, the area is also a haven for walkers and cyclists with seemingly endless trails right on your doorstep. A fantastic, scenic walk up a narrow, country path takes you to the stunning Malham, the perfect place for scenery. Skipton is the nearest sizeable town, with charming buildings and a good range of shops and places to eat.
