“Small points - mentioned in the interest of making what was a pleasant house and an enjoyable stay, just that bit better.”

I gather the owners live in Dorset and would not know of these minor failures ,which were 1. quality and amount of initial toilet paper supply was "difficult". 2. Only one bathroom had any handwash or soap when we arrived. 3. One of the door keys supplied was very difficult to use .4. There seemed to be a water supply problem when 2 showers were being used at once and the first floor shower temperature was difficult to control .5. Some additional larger oven dishes would have been useful for us ...

There seemed to be a water supply problem when 2 showers were being used at once and the first floor shower temperature was difficult to control .5. Some additional larger oven dishes would have been useful for us though the provided kitchenware and crockery generally was good. .6. There was a few spectacular cobwebs about and light fittings needed cleaning though the house was well presented and clean in general. Please note that there was a gutter leaking onto the decking - seemed to be at a joint.

Arnside is situated on the southernmost tip of the Lake District in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where low limestone hills, marshy plains and deciduous woodlands characterise the surrounding land. This former fishing port has retained many of the features from its past. The beautiful pier and port areas of the village offer stunning views across the Kent Estuary, as well as providing an enduring reminder of Arnside's illustrious history. To the south of the village are the 15th century Pele Towers, which were constructed to defend against the marauding Scots. The local surrounding area is a nature lover's paradise with stunning limestone pavements and wonderful woodland walks through countryside alive with rare plants, trees and wildlife. The internationally renowned Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve is also just one mile away. Guided walks across the Kent Estuary are available, showing the full splendour of the shore and surrounding area.
