The property

Surrounded by a cluster of stone-built cottages in the heart of Arnside village, with peace and quiet welcoming you to this lovely area of Cumbria, is Flat 2.

This first floor apartment, set within a Victorian townhouse, is accessed via a few external steps from the gravelled parking area, where you will come to a large hallway which stems off into the bedrooms and living areas.

Tastefully furnished and decorated throughout, this is the ideal accommodation for families, couples or a group of friends looking to explore the area.

Along the hallway is also a useful utility cupboard containing a washing machine and tumble dryer if you need to do any laundry during your stay.

Rustle up a home-cooked meal in the well-prepared kitchen and get your loved ones around the dining table, where you can enjoy the natural light streaming in through the picture window and tuck into a feast.

Later, you can unwind in the homely sitting room, which also has a lovely coffee table for playing board games in the evening, reading lamps and a charming, ornamental fireplace.

The bedrooms are bright and airy with elegant soft furnishings for a homely feel, where you can rest your head and enjoy a cosy lie in before getting your morning coffee.

With pleasant views to the front across the neighbouring houses down to the estuary, the cottage is well placed for strolling down to the pier and amenities of the fishing port.

You are enveloped by limestone hills, ancient woodland and flourishing wildlife in this beautiful location, with walking and cycling in abundance.

Enjoy guided walks across the Kent Estuary, explore the Arnside and Silverdale AONB with its impressive coastline and venture across to the Yorkshire Dales for a day touring a network of delightful towns and villages.

This charming retreat is just what you need in a holiday.

About the location

Kendal 10 miles; Windermere 17 miles.

Arnside is situated on the southernmost tip of the Lake District in a designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, where low limestone hills, marshy plains and deciduous woodlands characterise the surrounding land. This former fishing port has retained many of the features from its past. The beautiful pier and port areas of the village offer stunning views across the Kent Estuary, as well as providing an enduring reminder of Arnside's illustrious history. To the south of the village are the 15th century Pele Towers, which were constructed to defend against the marauding Scots. The local surrounding area is a nature lover's paradise with stunning limestone pavements and wonderful woodland walks through countryside alive with rare plants, trees and wildlife. The internationally renowned Leighton Moss RSPB Reserve is also just one mile away. Guided walks across the Kent Estuary are available, showing the full splendour of the shore and surrounding area. Within easy touring distance are the Lake District and Lune Valley, the Yorkshire Dales and the Forest of Bowland.
