  • "We really enjoyed our stay."

The facilities were excellent and the beds very comfortable. The plumbing left a little to be desired, but we coped. When we were cleaning on the last day, the vacuum cleaner had an awful 'doggy' smell. By the time we'd finished vaccing, the house smelt terrible. Our dog is clean and does not smell, so it was a bit of a shock to use the vac. I think it could do with a service!

  • "Had a wonderful time- it was so relaxing."

The cottage was immaculately clean and well equipped (the bath was an absolute treat!). 10 minute walk down to Arnside beach, and lots of lovely walks so you wouldn't need to leave the area (which is very beautiful and not too busy).

  • "An excellent holiday cottage on the side of Arnside Knott."

Very comfortable and well equipped. Just a 15 minute stroll to and from the village which is very pretty with two pubs, two general stores, etc. The village is on the River Kent estuary and there are breathtaking views over it across to the Lake District. Plenty of walking opportunities and you can easily enjoy a week here without going out of area. It's that good.

Mary, the owner was happy to answer any queries we had and we would definitely stay here again.

  • "Thank you for a lovely cosy, comfortable and relaxing stay, with wonderful views of the snow on the hills from the bedroom window!"

We loved the feel of the whole cottage, the art, furnishings and modern, clean bathroom and kitchen (once we found the 'hidden' drawer with the pans!) Great shower and comfy bed, sitting in front of the log burner and great walks from the door - perfect! It's not far to the shops, pubs and cafes on Arnside promenade and a stroll a bit further to the Beach Hut for coffee and cake takeaway. We didn't use the car at all, it stayed in the parking space outside! We look forward to returning, perhaps when the days are longer and better for exploring, and to make use of the patio!

  • "Very cosy and comfortable cottage."

Kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed. Shower was amazing as was the comfy bed and good Wi-Fi. Arnside is small with a good pub (the Albion) and the best Fish and shop we have ever been too. Supermarkets within easy reach and lovely walks beside the estuary. We hope to come back next year if we can.

  • "A lovely quiet terrace house in a quiet part of town, albeit up a steepish hill."

We'll presented, very clean. Pretty much everything you need. A dvd player would have been handy. Nice and warm, very cosy. Good patio area for a rest and when it's dark you can get a good look at the stars. Plenty of birds to watch in the trees. A good base to explore Morecambe Bay. 15 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes to the Albion and the bay. Handy well stocked shop nearby. Mary, the owner, is very helpful. Enjoyed our stay.

Arnside is a beautiful area for walking, either strolling or serious walking. There are two very good pubs which do food and allow you to take dogs in. There is also the best chip shop ever! Even if there is a queue it is well worth the wait.
