Surroundings are stunning. Chickens to feed and horses to see. We have booked to return already. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed being close to the animals on the farm, and also close to the Yorkshire three peaks. Overall a great stay.

Clean and with subtle touches, our short stay was perfect and we are looking to rebook! The small, enclosed garden is private and the working farm of horses and chickens near the property is wonderful!

The amenities are very well laid out and it feels nice and comfortable/spacious. We met the owner briefly. All the furnishings and finish of the cottage are to a high standard - everything works and works well.

Very comfortable and a very impressive bath in the bedroom, and an excellent bathroom. Even had two large televisions. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend this accommodation.

The weather was horrendous but we were staying somewhere very welcoming so be burrowed down and made the most of it. On a farm & livery yard so we had visiting ducks and hens to entertain us A winner thank you Sykes and the owners for bringing it to our attention. I’m sure we will be back.

  • "Fabulous place to get away from it all and just relax."

Just off the A65, but couldn’t hear the road at all, just the sound of the chickens wandering, or the sheep in nearby fields or the horses in the stable block. Perfectly named also. Will revisit, most defiantly

  • "This is our 2nd visit to this accommodation and it never disappoints."

We had a warm welcome, the accommodation was spotless and a pint of milk was chilling ready for a cup of tea when we arrived. The cottage is well appointed, cosy and comfortable. Seeing the horses and ducks through the lounge window is lovely and at times comical. It's a great base to visit this part of Yorkshire.

  • "What an amazing week we spent at Orcaber Farm."

Our little cottage was perfectly located with amazing pubs a short walk away. After long walks in the Yorkshire Dales and Forest of Bowland, the cottage was a home away from home but with added luxury. The sofa and bed were both incredibly comfortable and the bath in the bedroom was fantastic to unwind in. We also loved being surrounded by a few farm animals and enjoyed the geese and chicken strolling around the cottage during the day. We will definitely be back, thank you for a wonderful stay.

Very clean and everything you need. The bed was so comfy. Don’t usually sleep well when I’m away but I did in this bed. Unfortunately only stayed two nights and didn’t have time to make use of the gorgeous bath. Would definitely recommend.

  • "Orcaber Farm Retreat was everything and more we could have hoped for."

The cottage was very well appointed with all the latest high end appliances and a big flat screen TV with Sky. The bed was huge and having a bath actually in your bedroom was very novel and this was complimented by a larger shower room. The owners were very welcoming and provided us with information on walks in the area and local attractions. We made use of these, taking in some walks around the lovely village of Austwick as well as further afield. Highly recommended.

  • "Neil and Gaynor made us feel extremely welcome and were there to meet us on arrival."

The cottage itself exceeded our expectations. An amazing Wood burner which threw out the heat minutes after lighting, which was awesome after a day scrabbling about one of the nearby 3 Yorkshire Peaks. The copper bath is decadent luxury, as comfortable as it looks in the photos, and once again perfect to melt into after a day exploring the beautiful Dales. We really look forward to returning

  • "We booked this cottage on the morning of our arrival day, which was very accommodating of the owners at such short notice."

We were greeted on arrival by Gaynor and Neil who showed us round and who were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. It showed that this was the first time the cottage had been let out for holidays, as it was immaculate. The cottage had been decorated to a very high standard and the appliances were top rate. There was everything we could possibly need to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage was warm and cosy, the wood burner helped with this aspect even though we didn't really need it as the weather was kind to us. I could imagine in the winter months the burner would not disappoint, the heat it generated was immense. We had a lovely comfortable sofa and huge tv for total relaxation. The king size bed with top quality bedding all helped to aid a restful night sleep as it was so comfortable. My husband has mobility problems so we found the wet room shower to be most accommodating, as it was powerful and roomy. The lovely deep bath in the bedroom is nice for those able to have a nice soak before bed. The cottage is situated down a quiet road, with ample off road parking. Neil also provided us with garden furniture during our stay to provide us with a nice place to sit out in the garden while the weather was fine. There are lots of things to do, whether visiting the many lovely villages, markets or walking. I would highly recommend this cottage as a superb base to spend your holiday, you will not be disappointed as our hosts go that little bit further than most to make sure "it's home from home or better".
