Comfortable bed and relaxing bath. Ideal place if you want peace and quiet and a place to just chill. The log fire was cosy and so simple to use, Just on the outskirts of the trough of Bowland and Yorkshire dales, nothing negative to say about the place, we're thinking of booking again in the very near future, we've been to lots of places to stay and orcaber farm retreat is definitely in our top 3. It's a 10/10 from me.

Comfy bed is massive. Lovely wood burner. Staying so close to Christmas the owners had decorated a Christmas tree in the living room which is a nice festive touch. Snow fell after our arrival and the surrounding countryside made this place all the more special; we took many photographs on our walks in the snow.. Nice walk to Clapham via the river. • "We booked this cottage on the morning of our arrival day, which was very accommodating of the owners at such short notice."

We were greeted on arrival by Gaynor and Neil who showed us round and who were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. It showed that this was the first time the cottage had been let out for holidays, as it was immaculate. The cottage had been decorated to a very high standard and the appliances were top rate. There was everything we could possibly need to make our stay as comfortable as possible. The cottage was warm and cosy, the wood burner helped with this aspect even though we didn't really need it as the weather was kind to us. I could imagine in the winter months the burner would not disappoint, the heat it generated was immense. We had a lovely comfortable sofa and huge tv for total relaxation. The king size bed with top quality bedding all helped to aid a restful night sleep as it was so comfortable. My husband has mobility problems so we found the wet room shower to be most accommodating, as it was powerful and roomy. The lovely deep bath in the bedroom is nice for those able to have a nice soak before bed. The cottage is situated down a quiet road, with ample off road parking. Neil also provided us with garden furniture during our stay to provide us with a nice place to sit out in the garden while the weather was fine. There are lots of things to do, whether visiting the many lovely villages, markets or walking. I would highly recommend this cottage as a superb base to spend your holiday, you will not be disappointed as our hosts go that little bit further than most to make sure "it's home from home or better".
