  • "Particularly impressed with the well resourced kitchen essentials (tea towels, washing up liquid etc)."

Thank you for a lovely stay.

  • "Had a great stay."

House was nice and clean and in a nice area. Loads to do in the area would definitely visit again.

  • "Very clean."

Instead of 4 TV, we would have appreciated a dishwasher. One (minor) issue : when we wanted to make coffee, we discovered that the predecessors had forgotten to remove the coffee from the coffee machine and it had molded.

  • "The Ben’s Row cottage is an excellent base to have a holiday in the south lakes."

The cottage is well equipped and comfortable. The wood burner in the living room keeps the cottage warm all night. Parking is on street at the front which is not an issue. Garden and patio area have been great for breakfasts and lunch. The neighbours have to come through the garden gates to get to there house as it’s a corner terrace. They are friendly and just let you to get on with your holiday. Kitchen has all you need to cook a great meal (only 2 egg cups however) dining room has space for 5, living room was comfortable. Bedroom the mattress is firm so if you like that it does give you a good sleep. Bunk beds are excellent for the 2nd room. Location is excellent. Nearest shop is about 15 minutes drive as well as a great fish and chip shop about 10 minutes away. Stream train and locomotive museum are very close. Perfect base for days out in ulverston and it’s zoo, grange over sands, and Windermere. Would love to go back. Excellent holiday

  • "We used the cottage as a stop for a few weeks while waiting to move into our new home."

I would say we had a comfortable stay and it served the purpose. The cottage is in need of some updates to furnishing and finishes. A lot of personal memorabilia that collect dust. The cleaners let the owner down as when we arrived, the garbage had not been removed outside, the inside and outside fires had not been cleaned and there was dust in a lot of places. Especially under the beds. Should be easy to fix with the right support team helping the owners out. Otherwise the stay served it’s purpose and was conveniently located.

  • "We had a lovely break with lots of walking the cottage was clean and cosy but the double bed was uncomfortable."

My husband even had to sleep in the lower bunk.I persevered but it didn't improve. A comfortable bed is a must after walks that's why I've marked it down. The info needs updating too, there is no longer a shop within a mile. The Newbybridge garage is the nearest place for milk etc about 4 miles away. That said we were more than happy with everything else.

  • "On our first night a group of teenagers were drinking alcohol and were very noisy in the next door garden."

We felt unable to sit in the garden as they kept running into it. Also the electricity kept tripping and there was a problem with the gas. The mattresses, quilts and pillows were very stained and could do with replacing.
