The property

This exceptional chapel is situated in the hamlet of Spark Bridge in the south lakes just four miles from Coniston.

Within 15 mins you are also at the tip of Lake Windermere at Newby Bridge where you enjoy a trip from Haverthwaite by steam train to the tip of Windermere Lake where you can embark on a Lakeland cruise and see this breath taking area from the water to Bowness and Ambleside .Also just 20 mins drive is the pretty village of Cartmel with the ancient 12th century priory, home also to the UK ‘s smallest race course which has meets throughout the summer and the Michelin L'enclume restaurant as well as artisan food shops, cafes and vintage shops.

SPARK BRIDGE

Ulverston 5 miles; Coniston 10 miles.

The small village of Spark Bridge has two pubs, the Farmers Arms and Royal Oak, both offering good food. A couple of miles away is the village of Greenodd, which has a selection of shops and a pub, whilst just five miles away is the ancient market town of Ulverston. Ulverston is famous for its street markets and festivals, and boasts a wide range of shops, pubs and leisure facilities. It is also home to the only Laurel and Hardy museum in the world. This is a great location for a walking holiday, and within driving distance are a number of attractions including, Grizedale, Coniston, Windermere, Hawkshead and Beatrix Potter's Hill Top, as well as the beautiful Furness Coast, with its golden beaches and good birdwatching opportunities. An ideal location for enjoying fantastic coastal and countryside pursuits.
