  • "Had a lovely stay the house is beautiful and very clean."

The view from the master bedroom of the sea is amazing. The information provided about the local area was very useful. The welcome goodies was a nice touch.

  • "Had a lovely stay was as described close to the beach and great public transport."

If you are looking for peace and quite remember the house is on a main road and the tram runs regularly. This didn’t bother us as we used the tram every day,so easy to use and regular. House was clean and well equipped although showing some signs of age .

  • "Fantastic little house, fresh, clean and smells wonderful (though I may now need to get a subscription to the cleaning products!"

). The view of the sunset over the sea from master bedroom is wonderful, and the chaise longue is well positioned to do this. A real princess palace. The narrow kitchen is surprisingly spacious and allowed us to cook some lovely meals, as well as takeaways and restaurants right on the doorstop. Loved the front and back zen garden, lovely to chill out, though it would be good to have a storage box for the outdoor cushions as the fierce Irish Sea wind and rain made it hard to keep them from rolling onto the ground. We would have no hesitation to stay again, Belinda was a wonderful hostess.

Thankyou , so glad you enjoyed your stay xxx Property Owner

  • "Cottage is lovely very clean & comfortable, has everything needed for cooking & relaxing & lovely view ."

However the stairs up to bedrooms are so narrow I feel not safe for children or any adult unsteady on their feet . My daughter in Law injured her ankle coming downstairs on morning of our last day. Rectify stairs & it would be perfect

Thanks for your feedback and I’m glad you had a lovely stay. Apologies for the stairs , I have informed Sykes to update the description as the stair tread is very narrow. Property Owner

  • "The property was spacious, light and airy."

The decor was bright, vivid, shiny and sparkly! There was a lovely garden at both the front and the back which was nice to sit out in. White crisp beautifully laundered cotton sheets on a comfortable bed. The evening sunsets from the front lounge and bedroom were stunning. Great location for transport, local shops and the beach. The welcome goodies were very much appreciated thank you. Belinda the property owner couldn't have made us more welcome. All in all a great week at number 12 thank you.

We stayed for a week exploring the local area including Cleveley's, Lytham, St Anne's and much more. The property itself has everything you could want with large rooms, front and back gardens and parking too. We would definitely recommend a stay at 12 Pennystone Road and would visit again.

  • "Wonderful little property just on the outskirts of Blackpool but only a short ride away on the tram."

The property is well equipped with all the things that you will need. The property was clean and was very happy to see a welcome hamper with some key essentials. The sea view from the front of the property is great for seeing the evening sunsets. The property is a stones throw from a Sainsbury's supermarket, Bispham tram stop, and a number of restaurants on the high street. So there is no need to travel into Blackpool to eat. A Beefeater is a 15 minute walk away. The owner is lovely and makes sure you're happy. Definitely will be back for a future visit.

Thankyou so much for everything ☀️☀️ Property Owner

About the location

BLACKPOOL

Lytham St Annes 6 miles; Preston 17 miles.

Blackpool is famous for being a seaside resort on England's north west coast. The town is on the Irish Sea, between the Ribble and Wyre estuaries, 17 miles north west of Preston. Blackpool has been popular as a holiday resort since the mid-18th century when it became fashionable in England to travel to the coast in the summer to improve well-being. Blackpool's seven mile sandy beach and promenade are still a popular attraction today with donkey rides, fish-and-chip shops and theatres. Other landmarks include the Blackpool Tower, Blackpool illuminations, the Pleasure Beach, Sandcastle Water Park, the Winter Gardens, Blackpool Zoo, or take a ride on the first generation tramway the only surviving one in the UK. Nearby the seaside towns of Lytham and St Annes-on-Sea nestle along a picturesque stretch of coastline lined with pretty parks, whilst walkers and twitchers will adore the rolling sandy dunes of St Annes-on-Sea and the Ribble Estuary providing a safe haven for more than 250,000 migrating birds that return each winter. The area is internationally renowned for golf with seven courses to choose from, the most notable being the Royal Lytham & St Annes Old Links Golf Club, one of the host courses for the Open Championship. Boating, cycling, shopping and swimming can all also be enjoyed nearby, along with award-winning restaurants, traditional pubs and wine bars should you fancy celebrating. Whatever you want from your seaside getaway, Blackpool is an ideal choice.
