  • "Fantastic apartment."

3 good size double bedrooms. Very clean. Very high tech and all mod cons with Fantastic facilities in kitchen.although on TV in bedroom had front speaker cover missing but this wasn't a problem as we didn't use TV in bedroom. Very spacious. Small balcony very nice. The apartment is reached by out flights of stairs at least 3 flights. Great location steps down to the main road and straight into the heart of bowness. We thought it was a fantastic apartment apart from the stairs up to it .

  • "Lovely apartment really enjoyed our stay."

Clean and tidy, lots of amenities. A main point, is that the photos on this property need updating. There is no longer 2 bathrooms, but one, and a shower room. One bedroom has less storage than shown. Other niggles were, spa bath, didn't work and bath itself unusable as the plug did not fit. Information for the use of certain appliances e.g cooker and under floor heating, would be helpful.

  • "First impression was WOW but then the problems grew and grew."

The apartment is spacious and well situated but it is too high on technology and too low on practicalities. There are no appliance manuals - it took us half an hour to operate the NEFF cooker, our bedroom TV would not respond to the hi-tech remote, the lounge TV or sound bar kept beeping whether it was switched on or not. The shower doors wouldn't close (though we managed to fix them) and the loo seat was in danger of breaking as it was at least 2 inches off centre. Both bathrooms lacked towel rails, toilet roll holders, usable mirrors and a hook for your dressing gown. Bed was comfortable but storage disappointing. Our wardrobe housed the hoover and ironing board. No drawers, chairs or door hooks. We think the apartment was male designed as it was hi-tech but there were no pictures or cushions. The dining table was glass but there were no placemats. No local contact details.

  • "The flat is comfortable but spa bath is overkill as access to climb in to use shower is awckward."

And floor space in this bedroom is very limited around the bed with awckward access into wardrobes. The "hiitec" lighting is overkill and one switch in hall for main bathroom is faulty ... this was reported but no action taken during our stay .... bathroom lights would flash on/off during the night periodically. Oven grill pan needs a "deep clean" .... we never used it... there is a smell in shower room which lacks ventilation and there appears to be a leakage at w/c as water would appear on tile floor time/time. Location is excellent just too many stairs to third floor. We have stayed in "Springmouse" on second floor but this appears not to be available at this time

Thank you for your comments. We take all comments on board, and we will ask our Maintenance teams to follow up on your comments. We hope to welcome you back. The Lakes Cottage Holidays Owner Relations Team Property Owner

  • "Had a fantastic stay."

. Just a note that thr are lots of very steep steps which could be difficult for some. All electrical are of high standard However as we are not tech savvy and all in late 60s it was difficult to work TV.. Lights and Bath..information booklet very sparce would help if thr was info about how to work things.. But we really enjoyed our stay.. Will return and also recommend to others.

  • "Great location for what we needed."

Bedroom next to ensuite bed too big for room. Bath looked like spa and again too big. Description was confusing. One minute its 15 as adddress then later in Description mentions 16. Please review directions as we believe not accurate. We have stayed in bowness for years and know the area well. Directions made us drive around 3 times before we knew we were at the correct address.

Thank you for your recent feedback we will of course review the directions. The bath is now only a corner bath, the jacuzzi jets do not operate any longer. We hope you enjoyed your stay in Bowness and look forward to welcoming you again to Ascension Island. Property Owner

  • "The steps to access the property are quite steep and very badly lit on a night."

We stayed on the weekend of storm Arwen and as the property is all electric we did struggle managed to find one torch but we couldn't charge phones to keep out lights on them and didn't know how long we would be without power. And as it is all electric couldn't even make a hot drink. The property it self is clean and bright and close to amentities.

  • "Absolutely brilliant stay."

Nothing negative to say about the property. The service from the owner was great, he phoned before the check in time and also phoned mid week to ask if everything was fine.

  • "The property is in a great location and was clean and tidy but some of its selling point didn’t work."

Both bath plugs didn’t work so the water went out, the jacuzzi bath that we were really looking forward to didn’t work even when I did manage to get water to stay in the bath. It just needs some TLC and it would be a brilliant place to stay. Would I tell someone to stay yes because of it’s location and cleanliness but would warn them about the thing that don’t work. If you are ok with the little issue (which could be easily sorted) then it’s a great place to stay.

A very well appointed apartment. House bathroom could do with a little updating compared to the en-suite bathroom. Excellent service and support from the apartment owners to resolve a problem we had. I would highly recommend this apartment
