The property

Resting in an enviable central location in the popular Lake District town of Bowness-on-Windermere, minutes' walk away from Windermere's iconic lake and the World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, is Bank Chambers, a luxury duplex apartment offering a spacious and welcoming escape for three couples or group of friends and family wanting to enjoy a touch of luxury and a central location within the Lake District National Park.

Parking is available for up to three cars with parking permits, provided by the owner, and as you enter the recently renovated apartment, move along the hallway to the large sitting room, which boasts dual aspect windows that look out onto the bustling town, as well as grand high ceilings, a stunning marble fireplace housing a gas fire, that can warm up the space in the evenings as you relax onto the sofa and enjoy watching the wall-mounted TV, placed just above the fire.

From here, the kitchen/diner is the hub of the home, where you can create delicious home-cooked meals using the Siematic induction hob, double oven and range of NEFF appliances, to be enjoyed at the dining table.

Open the double doors and access the fantastic roof terrace, overlooking the roof tops, with a decking area, outdoor seating and sun loungers, perfect for relaxing in the sunshine, while in the evenings, take advantage of the barbecue and enjoy alfresco dining, before ending the day with a luxurious dip in the private hot tub, beneath the outdoor lighting.

There is a handy utility room and a cloakroom on this level, as well as a traditional style super-king-size double bedroom with zip/link feature, boasting a cast iron fireplace surrounded by a granite hearth and an en-suite walk-in shower, where you can end each day with a refreshing rinse after a busy day of exploring.

Move upstairs to the second floor to discover a further two generously sized super-king-size bedrooms, both with zip/link feature, with the master bedroom featuring fitted wardrobes with mirrored doors to hang all your belongings, as well as large windows allowing in plenty of light, while the final bedroom showcases a feature fireplace and wonderful views of Windermere's lake and the fells beyond.

Both rooms share access to a large and contemporary bathroom with a white three-piece suite, including a freestanding bath, as well as a wetroom style bathroom with a walk-in shower, both of which benefit from underfloor heating.

Guests are welcome to use the boathouse at nearby Wray to store paddleboards or other watersports equipment and why not charter the owner's very own 40ft yacht, enjoying a dining experience on board as you take in your marvellous surroundings?

Step out of the apartment and right into the centre of the bustling town, with a selection shops, pubs, bars and quaint cafés right on the doorstep.

Visit the iconic World of Beatrix Potter Attraction, a museum dedicated to the work of the children's author, as well as the National Trust's HiIl Top, just on the other side of Windermere lake, which was the author's former home.

Discover the Windermere Jetty Museum on the lake, as well as Blackwell Arts & Crafts House, the 1920’s Royalty Cinema and The Old Laundry Theatre.

A stone's throw from the iconic lake, you can hire a boat or try your hand at a host of watersports activities if you're feeling adventurous, canoeing, paddleboarding or waterskiing amongst the exceptional views of England’s largest natural lake.

Hop on a boat trip and head north on the lake towards Ambleside, perhaps stopping off at Brockhole, which offers a range of exciting outdoor activities, including zip-lines, kayaking, archery and mini golf, while Ambleside offers the Lakeland Motor Museum, a 2nd century Roman fort, and multiple walking trails through parkland and woodland towards Stock Ghyll Force, a 70ft waterfall with a scenic viewing platform.

From here, you can access the 19th century National Trust Wray Castle, with play rooms for children and extensive grounds to roam, as well as Grizedale National Forest, Go Ape treetop rope course, Coniston Water and The Old Man of Coniston, offering hikers a picturesque view of the lake from its peak.

Make Bank Chambers the base for an unforgettable Lake District holiday with loved ones.
