“Great location, comfortable and good facilities with really helpful owners.”
Only thing is the access to the car parking, it is very tight even for an average sized car.
On leaving the car park there is a carry tight right turn which I negotiated several times successfully but I did damage my car on one instance.
There was a sharp edged stone/rock sticking out of the wall on one of my exits which hadn’t been there previously as I had done the same turn before. I heard a crunch and immediately stopped my car. I look looked at the bumper and this rock was stuck in it!!
So my car was basically connected to the wall.
I had to reverse and the rock edge broke off and released my car.
Cracked and scuffed bumper with a hole in it!
I took pictures to prove that the rock was way out of the wall so it had either slipped I outwards or had been moved by someone or something.
Not great for an Audi A5 which is not even 2 months old
The lake District is full of narrow lanes and Craig Walk is one of them. The directions clearly describe the lane and a normal sized car can easily negotiate the car park. We offer a permit for a nearby street for guests. The on-site parking and quiet location more than make up for this. We are sorry for any damage done to a vehicle
