• "We’ve just returned from a most enjoyable stay at Simon’s home."

  Everything was as described and we were extremely comfortable. We didn’t have to use the car as it was only a 5 minute walk down into the town of Bowness-on-Windermere where we found lots of dog friendly bars and restaurants. We were delighted to find a hamper of local produce on arrival with a little treat for our dogs too. We would definitely stay again at this fantastic setting.

  Location was great with fantastic views from the hot tub. Very spacious accommodation which was very clean and well prepared with a great welcome pack. Simon was friendly and sorted out an issue with the hot tub very quickly. We were a group of 6 adults one child and a dog and we all really enjoyed staying here.

  Firstly, the house is in the most amazing location - being extremely walkable to the lake, shops, cafes and restaurants! There are also many beautiful walks in the surrounding areas of the house - which Simon kindly let us know about on arrival! The house boasts the most stunning views of the lake and surrounding hills, which we enjoyed for many evenings whilst sat in the hot tub (the view is even better from up there!!). The house is so lovely - just as described and I’d say even better than the photos! Has everything that you would ever need, super clean and really comfortable beds!! Simon was a lovely host - really accommodating! A few of our group were arriving early and he was kind enough to offer an earlier check in which was really helpful! Overall - this was a 10/10 and we would love to go back, as well as fully recommend to anyone thinking of visiting!!

  The house is very large with a great layout for a couple of families. We enjoyed the hot tub, views and the 10 minute walk through town to the lake. It is a peaceful spot with activities just down the road. Simon was communicative and helpful throughout. Highly recommend!

  In a very quiet and select private close only added to the enjoyment. House was spotlessly clean and well presented. Ample room for our party of 6 to both spend time together or chill when prefer with the garden room a firm favourite. The birds eye view of fast jets navigating up the lake and beyond was a real bonus! Only real ask would be if the hot tub could be raised slightly allowing better views of the lake whilst sitting in it but icing on the cake of course! Only gripe relates to Sykes and the astronomical price increases year on year!

• "Wow wow wow Brantlea is the most beautiful stunning home - it is immaculate and every detail has been thought through with care."

  The open plan living area is so good to allow everyone to feel they are together but not on top of one another. The kitchen is huge and has everything you would need. Oven/Grill immaculate and fridge freezer huge - great for stocking up. Lounge has fab corner settee and 2 individual recliners chairs Bedrooms are all amazing- 2 on the ground floor and 2 on the upper living level - bathrooms huge, warm underfloor heating and towels lovely. Utility room handy and well equipped. The views from the hot tub are fabulous towards the lake and the summer house next to the hot tub a great bonus. Garden although steep very well kept and dog safe. Simon has been a wonderful host, offered lots of advice of restaurants etc and responds so quickly. The only downside to Brantlea is having to leave it - we will definitely return - it’s worth every penny. Thank you Simon

  An outstanding property just a 10 minute walk from the centre of Bowness. Accessible via a steep hill so not for the faint hearted but the views are breath taking so worth it.   lock box clearly visible. The house has a large open plan on the upper floor with private bedrooms on both floors. An extremely well equipped kitchen and utility room com0lete with washer and dishwasher caps. The hot tub is at the top of a steep garden which has a well kept and lighted pathway making it easily accessible. just next to the hot tub is a lovely summerhouse which will be great during the summer months. Overall this house exceeded our expectations and we will hopefully be back.

  Anything we could’ve possibly needed had been thought of and was in the house. The safety gates for our baby was a life saver who had just started to crawl. The welcome box was amazing and a nice surprise, full of local produce and the dog treats made our four legged friends very happy. The house was clean, comfortable and warm. Amazing views from the kitchen and hot tub. It was a short walk to Bowness which had plenty of amenities, nice shops and restaurants with the Cornish pasty shop being a much loved family favourite. We all agreed we would definitely stay again.

  The steep garden won’t appeal to everyone but the view and the hot tub facilities at the top are definitely worth it. The property is in a quiet position at the end of a cul de sac so benefits from no passing traffic . We had a fantastic stay.

It is a very spacious property, there were 7 of us, a dog and twin babies and it was just fabulous !! If your family want a break to rhe Lake district I would recommend Brantlea very highly. • "We had a very wet week in the Lakes, and with a dog that was recovering from major surgery, we couldn’t have wished for a better place to stay for some R&R."

  Everything had been thoroughly considered and nothing overlooked. The only thing that didn’t suit us this time was all of the garden area was on a step slope with steep steps. Without a “wonky” dog though, that would’ve been fine.

  The welcome box was a lovely touch. The house is spotlessly clean and so comfortable. You have thought of everything. When we did tear ourselves away from the beautiful house - just for a short walk + we're in Bowness with all the shops, bars + restaurants and of course Lake Windermere. Thank you so much - we hope to be back soon.

  Great location too. The property was immaculate. Plenty of space both inside and outside for up to 8 guests. The views from the hot tub are truly amazing. The property owners are extremely helpful and their proximity to the property is very useful.
