  • “Candy cottage is in a great location and of excellent quality - the refurbishment has been completed to a very high standard and everything was spotlessly clean - I would be happy to recommend this cottage.”

As mentioned on the website, it is not ideal for young children or anyone with mobility issues, but for anyone else it's perfect!

The property

Candy Cottage is a superbly presented 4-storey Victorian terrace house 10 minutes’ walk from the hustle and bustle of Bowness.

Enter into the hallway with plenty of room for boots coats or even to relax and read a book.

The lounge itself has comfortable and relaxing social space with leather sofas and soft lighting arranged around the TV.

Go downstairs to the open plan kitchen with dining area.

The family dining table is ideal for sociable meals together.

The adjacent high quality fitted kitchen is equipped with quality appliances and everything you’ll need for your stay.

Also, on this level is a shower room with basin, separate WC and a luxurious family bathroom with feature freestanding bath, large shower with drencher head, WC and basin with vanity unit.

The bedrooms are arranged over the upper two floors of the house, on the first floor are two welcoming bedrooms presented with king size beds.

The final bedroom is located on the second floor, with twin beds and is accompanied by a separate WC and basin, ideal for children to enjoy, and has restricted head room.

The back door from the kitchen leads to the rear alleyway and onto the main road.

Explore the delights of Bowness, alive with sophisticated shopping, popular Lake District family attractions and endless choice for an evening out.

Or, leave the crowds behind and walk straight onto the fell from your door to admire Lake Windermere from afar.

Stroll down to the lake shore, where hire boats come and go, and you can catch a Windermere Lake Cruises steamer to Ambleside or Lakeside - a scenic way to explore without taking your car.

Couples might enjoy a romantic evening cruise on Lake Windermere, and young families enjoy fun attractions such as mini golf on the 'Glebe', a miniature steam train, the Lakes Aquarium, and open top Lake District bus tours departing.

Don't forget that Windermere Golf Club is located just outside Bowness.
