The place is cosy, inviting and well equipped. We appreciated the use of the garden, football and chiminea. As a Mum to other parents I would say the high chair is fine and the travel cot like new (although doesn’t have the additional mattress so take your own). We also took our own non slip bathmat. Be aware there is no stair gate at the top of the stairs, we just closed bedroom/ bathroom doors and the children were fine. Handily there is a door on the bottom of the stairs . I’d recommend the cottage for families, the above details are simply to help you pack.

The property

Corner Cottage sits in a mid-terrace position, just one mile from the ever-popular Lake District town of Bowness-on-Windermere.

With excellent facilities and opportunities available from your doorstep, this is a convenient spot to base an adventure-packed family break.

A country-cottage-style kitchen/diner acts as a charming place to rustle up each and every delicious meal as it comes well-equipped with charming wooden features and a period feature fireplace adding a sense of charm.

The ground floor also occupies a comforting sitting room, dressed in soothing neutral colours and with an electric fire and a FreeSat TV - all you could need for some relaxing downtime at the end of the day.

Upstairs, you will find the two delightful bedrooms with beautiful feature wallpaper.

A family bathroom completes the accommodation, a tranquil spot to relax whilst having bubble bath.

To the back of Corner Cottage, a set of steps lead up to a glorious raised garden featuring a calming patio area and a well-kept lawn offering views to the incredible Lake Windermere which rests just a stone's throw away.

Bowness-on-Windermere is the ideal fun-packed family holiday destination, it offers everything you could ask for including a wide range of charming shops and eateries as well as a multitude of activities from boat trips to water sports and the World of Beatrix Potter.

The Lake District National Park abounds in breath-taking walking and cycling paths as well as water sport opportunities and fabulous towns including Ambleside and Kendal.
