  • "Perfect weekend away Myself, husband and family spent the weekend at Lexington house for my husband’s birthday this weekend."

Although the weather wasn’t the greatest, we had a wonderful weekend. We like to come and visit the Lakes quite often, but Lexington house made our stay this time round. Can’t fault anything at all. Great communication with Rebecca & Phil who are always on hand to answer any questions we had. The house was beautiful and clean. We will definitely look at coming back in the future. Thank you for a lovely stay x

  • "We have just had a wonderful week at Lexington House ."

From booking to end of trip Rebecca and Phil were the perfect hosts , always quickly responsive and helpful. The quality of everything in the house was luxurious, the bedding was outstanding. The property was spotless and beautiful. Such a perfect location for a wonderful getaway, lots of great walks from your doorstep , situated in a quiet location and yet only 5 mins walk from everything you’ll need . Bowness has lots of restaurants, pubs , shops , museums, basically has something for everyone from young to old . Our favourites were - Bodega Tapas Bar, Gilpin Spice, The Westmorland Inn for a tasty Sunday lunch , The Old John Peel Inn was a real pub with lovely friendly landlady Claire , made us feel so welcome. We had our dog with us and almost everywhere is dog friendly, treats everywhere we went . Highly recommend for anyone wanting to get away for a truly wonderful time, we will definitely be back, thank you Rebecca and Phil

  • "The house was perfect, lovely decor, en-suite for every room which is perfect, games, lovely log fire."

Everything needed in the kitchen too! There was a lovely welcome basket with wine and snacks a lovely touch. Location: couldn’t fault it, right near town with lots of shops, pubs and plenty of walks. You could leave your car parked up for days as there is plenty to do. If I feel like returning to lakes in the future I will definitely have this place in mind. Thanks again to Rebecca and Phil.

  • "Our stay at Lexington House was absolutely fantastic from start to finish!"

Our hosts Rebecca & Phil were amazing in terms of communication, information and they made us feel right at home. The house itself is wonderful with literally everything we needed and it has a real homely and modern feel to it as you will see from the pictures. For those with little ones there is space for a travel cot in all 3 bedrooms and our hosts provided a stair gate which was a lifesaver! The location is excellent and was definitely a big deciding factor for our stay, it was perfect! We stayed in early January and although the weather outside was very bitter, the memories of this little break are anything but! We loved our stay at Lexington House and made lots of very happy family memories to cherish. We hope to stay again soon. Thanks again to Rebecca & Phil

  • "We had a wonderful week at Lexington House."

On arrival the house was warm and clean, exactly as pictured in the photos and a lovely welcome gift left for us. We knew the location well before booking as we stay in the area each December so it was lovely to be back, so close to the shops and restaurants of Bowness. Parking was great, we had three cars with us but you could easily have fit in more on the drive, a rare find in the lakes! Quality furniture, towels and bed linens, all spotless and an en suite bathroom for each of the three bedrooms so no sharing, perfect! As a host myself it’s rare to find accommodation that lives up to my own high standards but we were very happy here and will be back! Many thanks for your hospitality!

  • "Just arrived home from a fantastic family weekend at Lexington House."

The house is beautiful. The interior and decor is very modern. It appeared to have been recently refurbished as everything looked brand new, freshly painted and very clean. It is very well located at the top of a short hill just off the main high street of Bowness. Many thanks to Rebecca and Phil for accomodating us and also checking in on us throughout the stay via email making sure we were happy with everything. Also thank you to Otto who Rebecca and Phil sent over with single bedding within 10 mins of us enquiring about changing a bed from a king to two singles. Overall 10/10. Would highly recommend.

  • "An amazing place to stay!"

We have just returned from a 4 night stay at Lexington House in Bowness and it was absolutely perfect. A fantastic location for exploring the Lake District, and walking distance in to Bowness. The location couldn’t have been any better. The house itself is absolutely spotless and well equipped for families. We were a family ranging from 70s to a 16 month old and it was perfect for us all. The children especially loved toasting marshmallows on the outdoor fire. Communication was perfect from start to finish. Thanks so much again

  • "Great property, great location only a small issue was the table in the lounge was a little bit tight to get in and out we are small so was fine but could see this being an issue for other people."

House had everything we needed and was well decorated, beds comfy too. Would definitely come back.

  • "We had a wonderful week in Lexington House, thank you for the welcome pack."

The house was immaculate with everything provided for a party of 6. So relaxing, after arriving, the 'oldies ' in the party didn't use our car until the journey home. Younger members of the party (40 plus!) Enjoyed kayaking and tackling some of Langdale Pikes! Restaurants, pubs and shops all within walking distance from the house. Used boats, buses and walking boots to visit many picturesque villages! Thanks for a memorable holiday.

  • "The property was beautiful and whilst we didn’t use all the facilities, I imagine the outdoor patio in the summer would be a brilliant place to chill out."

The location is spot on, close enough to everything Bowness and Windermere have to offer yet peaceful in its own right. The property was spotlessly clean and comfortable.

  • "My family and I spent a week here in this beautiful house to celebrate a special birthday, the brochure pictures do not do it justice."

The location is perfect although there is a hill down to the town, but not too bad. The beds are super comfy with good quality bedding, great to flop into after a great day in stunning Bowness. We would most definitely recommend this property.
