"Whilst I loved the location and the bungalow itself the only negative comments relate to comfort."
I had a bad back by the end of the week and can only put it down to the poor quality double mattress and the very saggy sofa! But despite that it was a great place for a break in my favourite part of the Lakes.

Great location within easy reach of The Lakes and fells and a couple of lovely pubs within a couple of minutes walk. We especially liked the Crown Inn.

The beds were comfortable as was the furniture. Parking was good as well. The property was across the road from a very good pub serving food, so no need for me to cook.

"The cottage was perfect in all aspects location, cleanliness, facilities and utensils all of a very high quality."
The small village of Shap had everything we needed within walking distance 2 great pubs with good food, a chippy and a very well stocked supermarket. It was also a great spot for visiting the stunning scenery and of course the lakes of this wonderful part of the country.
The owners communication and information prior to arrival was excellent and we will definitely return in the future.

"Shap is a lovely place to stay."
People are so friendly. It has one of the best fish and chip shop and my boys love the pizzas. The outdoor pool is just up the road which the kids loved. you must visit Shap Abbey. it's around half an hour walk from cottage, nice and pleasant. The cottage was ideal for 2 adults , 2 kids and 2 dogs. Plenty of things provided, towels, utensils, blankets, freeview, WiFi. Only thing I would say was the mattress on double bed was awful, felt like you were falling out of bed, on a slant. Apart from that I would defo recommend staying here. it's around 45 mins into keswick which was an easy drive. Finally there is a little park and rail lines near by if you like train spotting.

"We really enjoyed our stay at the Croft cottage house."
The cottage was clean and had everything you needed after walking all day. We loved the fact it had off-road parking and a secure garden. We received a welcome instruction from the owners by email which was great however one improvement could be the directions for the cottage as it wasn’t very clear. Other than that a great week away.

"We found the cittage very nice, village had everything we needed and well placed for our trips around the local area."
However two niggles, one was cleanliness of the oven and in particular grill pan, in these times especially, not nice to see thecremains of grilled food on the bottom of the grill mesh. And we both thought after a few uncomfortable lumpy nights, the bed could do with renewing, needs to be a bigger size and definatly a mattress with no lumps in, otherwise very nice

Most important for us the dog was able to wander freely in the yard without fear of getting out. The double bed was so comfy and the addition of sofa and television in the main bedroom was a very pleasant surprise. Plenty of storage in bedroom. I have and will be recommending this property to people and am loooking at booking for next year. Couldn't fault anything other than when we went to do some toast on the Sunday morning it kept blowing the trip, so unable to use it for the week, minor detail for us.
