  • "We stayed over at Rose Cottage for two nights when doing The Yorkshire Three Peaks."

A perfect location to start the walk. We would highly recommend the cottage. Plenty of room with a beautiful kitchen and living room areas to relax in. Two lovely large double bedrooms and a single room upstairs along with a modern bathroom, nice towels provided too. Parking available just opposite the cottage for two cars and such a lovely quiet location. We would definitely stay here again if visiting the area. A lovely touch to find milk left for us in the fridge, thank you.

  • "Really nice cottage, which was perfect for our group that was doing the Yorkshire 3 Peaks."

Good sized living area, decent kitchen and pantry which was great to store our walking gear. 2 double beds and a single bed with a really nice bathroom. Owner provided all bedding and towels which were clean and of good quality. Some of the furniture was slightly dated but for the amount of time we spent in the cottage, was no issue for us. Great place which I would highly recommend.

  • "Lovely comfortable cottage, furniture slightly dated but not an issue to us."

Great kitchen and bathroom, everything we could need for a holiday cottage and brilliant location .Didn't really use the dining room as preferred to eat in the kitchen!

  • "Beautiful cottage in an ideal location."

There was everything anyone could ever want in this beautiful home, and very close to the pub and the start of the walk to the three peaks! All the bedrooms were very comfortable and warm, the bath was welcoming to very tired walkers and everywhere was very spacious. I would highly recommend this cottage to all of my friends.

  • "Cottage overall very good."

Kitchen, bathroom and bedrooms excellent. Only criticisms would be the lounge furniture could be better - very old and uncomfortable, no key to back door which could be important in the event of a fire, and very limited outside space. Cottage is in a very good position for walkers being close to Pen-y-Ghent .

  • "A lovely cottage in the perfect position for us as we completed the Yorkshire three peaks challenge while we were there- this cottage is right on the start and end point!"

Lovely and clean, modern kitchen and bathroom, comfy beds and extra duvets available. We were a group of adults and at no point did we feel cramped or short of space! Enough parking for two cars was also ideal. Would definitely stay here again, thank you

Thank you for your kind words. It is very much appreciated ☺️ Property Owner

  • "Fantastic cottage really comfy and cosy."

Fantastic location. We couldn’t open the stable door, the key wouldn’t turn not sure if there was meant to be another key or we was just doing something wrong. The front door was tough to open and close too but we found the knack, but I’d have struggled on my own. Kitchen really well stocked apart from a sieve/ colander to drain pasta. The above are just minor things, we really loved the cottage and will definitely return!

Thank you for your kind words and I'm so pleased you enjoyed your stay. Rose Cottage is new to the holiday lettings market so all feedback is welcome. The new doors are quite stiff, and you are right there is a knack to opening the front door and the stable door. I shall ask if the fitters can make this easier. Large sieve now in place! If you can think of anything else please let me know and I look forward to your return visit - Thanks again Property Owner

  • "We have just returned from a week of holidaying in Rose cottage."

A well equipped comfortable cottage, with lots of space to relax. Set in a beautiful area, so close to Pen y Ghent and spectacular walking/cycling routes. Settle is very easy to drive to for cafés, groceries etc. I'd definitely book Rose Cottage for another Yorkshire escape. (I understand this is a very recent holiday home, and mine will be one of the first reviews; it is an independent review)

Thank you for you very kind words. Very pleased that you enjoyed your stay and look forward to seeing you again Property Owner
