Had all the facilities you need ,cosy and warm and in a nice quiet area with dog walks straight from cottage . Yet was a short driveway from all the amenities .Hosts were very friendly and easy to get in touch with if you needed anything. Have booked again for later this year

A peaceful location with space and greenery around. Even facilities to recycle waste ! Easy access to Poulton and other areas if you have a car. We will definitely return when we can !

There was plenty of helpful information available about where to go and how to get there. We had an excellent stay, would be happy to go again and will be happy to recommend.

  • "Directions from Sykes useless - the property is tucked away behind a garden nursery."

Had to phone owner for precise instructions. A very warm welcome from the owners (but no welcome pack). First hurdle was the high (for us) step into the property. The owner very kindly organised some planks to make it easier. Thank you. Bedrooms, kitchen & bathroom immaculate but the lounge was a bit dusty in the corners. Mismatch of furniture did not match the photo in the Sykes description. Excellent large TV (Freeview only) but no WiFi which was disappointing. kitchen well equipped and dishwasher very useful! Bathroom very 'cosy' and not easy to get into the shower if you have mobility problems. The property faces west so a good view of the sunsets, ideal in summer. Also a good recreation area. In summary, a nice property for two as a base for touring the area. A family of 4 might find it claustrophobic.

It is behind electric gates this makes it nice to have the windows open a little at night when it’s hot. Parking is easy Owners are on site and helpful. Thank you.

we will 100% be back we are looking to book 3 properties with some of the family over summer next year. Thankyou Foxes den and thankyou to the owners making it so enjoyable x

  • "Quiet location behind Brambles Nursery."

However it isnt Thornton / Cleveleys but just outside Poulton. Good bus services to Blackpool, Fleetwood, Cleveleys, Thornton and Poulton from the end of road. Took us around 20 mins to walk from Poulton market back to Foxes Den. All chalets dog friendly. Nice lawn area at the side of last chalet is shared between all occupiers and up to four dogs. Little privacy between each chalet all have front facing patio. Good parking facilities, well equipped kitchen, firm beds, toilet/shower area small and would benefit from door opening outwards. Also would have preferred curtain or blind over front door (which the other chalets had) and not a net curtain. Owners very friendly and helpful solved minor issues quickly.

  • "Had a lovely peaceful holiday."

Everything you need is provided, a home from home (only better) , and beautifully decorated. Perfect location for visiting Blackpool and Fleetwood with bus stops at the top of the lane. Particularly enjoyed visiting the garden centre and tropical fish centre just opposite the site. Would really love to stay again. Management were friendly and welcoming, thank you for our lovely holiday. Have been recommending you to all my friends and family.

  • "Had a great stay in Foxes Den."

It was clean, comfortable and quiet, set in a pleasant rural location but with a pub and small town within walking distance. The perfect choice if travelling with a dog as there is a grassed area at the back for a quick leg stretch.

A member of the family was on crutches, this was ideal as it’s all one level and had a shower that was great to use. Hosts were on site and very nice. Lovely area to sit out and relax, would highly recommend.

Helpful but not obtrusive. Was lovely to have the green area at the side of the houses to exercise the dogs. Plenty of parking and lots to do in the area.

  • "My Husband & I stayed in the Foxes Den for two over Christmas."

We absolutely loved it. The owners are so helpful & even put up Christmas Tree & Decorations for us. The accommodation itself is clean & super comfortable, it is exactly like the photos. It is also much roomier than we anticipated. The location is great, it’s super quiet you feel miles away however with all the benefits of being super close to all amenities to lovely Poulton & Thornton. There is ample & secure off road parking. We cannot recommend Foxes Den enough & we hope to be back soon.

  • "A warm comfortable haven."

The beds comfy the kitchen had everything needed as we do cater for ourselves so that is really important. The bathroom and shower clean and comfy. The additional handle provided to attach where and if needed was invaluable to my 95 year old dad as it allowed him to feel safe. The heating system works beautifully. Our car could be parked nearby. The garden centre across the road served a fabulous breakfast on the day we left allowing us a relaxed departure. Close to the illuminations and all that Blackpool has to offer the staff on the trams offering all different fare rates to make sure we got a great deal. All day for 3 £14 bargain. All in all a totally positive experience.

  • "The 2nd bedroom had children's bunk beds in ."

In the description it was advertised with a single bed with a pull out underneath. We really needed the single bed. Other than that couldn't fault the cottage.

Thank you for your feedback, and we are glad that you had a good stay. The bunk beds in the second bedroom have now been replaced with a single bed with a pull out underneath again. Property Owner

  • "The dishwasher was not working in the cottage, which wasn’t a massive issue and we did inform the proprietor for future reference."

The Bathroom/Shower room is very small and not quite adequate for a family with 2 small children especially when trying to shower them which means that someone is stuck behind the door. There was a lot of dust behind the double bed in the main bedroom (we had to pull this out to find my ring which I dropped). I think this needs some attention in the forms of hoovering and dusting. Bedroom 2 is described on Sykes Cottages as having a single bed with a optional pull out bed. There is actually a set of bunk beds in this room so this was a little misleading. Apart from the above we had a lovely stay and would come again.
