Even our little dog had a bowl, towel and throws. She loved the secure garden and safe walks down the lane to the field where she could run free, The plastic grass was such a bonus, no muddy paws and a lovely place to sit and take in the view and the sunset. The welcome basket was filled with delicious bread, lovely cheese, biscuits, crisps and beer all from the local Holmes Mill Food Hall. The bed was huge and very comfortable with spotless white linen. we slept so well,,, The View is definitely 5* in every way. But the actual star of the show is Anna the owner who greeted us with her lovely children. She goes above and beyond to make sure your holiday is perfect. This will not be our last visit as we love the area and the easy access it provides to Clitheroe, the Lakes, Skipton, St Annes, Lytham etc. Most of the pubs in the area are dog friendly so eating out was no problem at all. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Thank you so much for making us feel welcome and very comfortable indeed. June and Douggy and Nellyx

  • "We thoroughly enjoyed our stay."

View @Langho was comfortable, spacious and spotless! The unit is self contained and gated. We were also able to park two cars in the gated driveway area. Tastefully decorated for the holiday season too! It was incredibly warm and cosy given the cold snap. Anna is a wonderful host and has a genuine desire to make your stay the best it can be. Lots of advise on local events and nearby places to walk doggo (who was a massive fan of the underfloor heating at the property!). Thank you for a wonderful stay :)

  • "The property was smaller than what we thought and was in quite a busy little area with no immediate access to nice countryside walks with our dog, also the small lawned area is fake grass."

The bed was super comfortable which is a big bonus and a very nice shower but it’s a converted garage so difficult if you need to receive parcels because it has no official address and was quite damp, although it did rain the whole week we were there. Anna was lovely though and always on hand to answer questions or help out if needed.

The facilities were all of a very high standard both inside and out. It was very private and perfect for our little dog with safe walks and even a field for her to run in within 3 minutes of the property. It definitely deserves the 5* rating for cleanliness, comfort and quality. The welcoming pack was lovely, especially the delicious bread and cheese. The bed was amazing with beautiful linen, even our little dog was provided with throws, towel, bowl and treats. Anna and her family who live next door and own it have thought of everything. We were close to the A59 which made it easy to find our way to Clitheroe, Skipton, Settle ,Dunsop Bridge, Ribchester as well as being able to discover some of the lovely little villages around. We had a lovely family meal at the Lord Nelson in Langho which was really dog friendly. A massive thank you to Anna for being so kind and thoughtful.Your very high standards and hard work make View@Langho a very special place.

Wish we had taken our binoculars. Well situated for visiting lots of places, Skipton Settle the Lakes all within 50 miles. Very private with no passing traffic . Perfect if you have a dog, the property is very secure with fencing and gates to the front. The owner, who is a lovely lady and lives with her young family next door, has a good knowledge of the area and suggested some really nice places to go. Loved this property- so well designed and beautifully decorated. Spotlessly clean and the view from the terrace/patio was stunning. Lots of lovely things to do in the locality too- after a long day of exploration and adventure the cottage was a perfect place to relax and unwind. Well equipped- consideration has been given to every last detail. Friendly host, lovely welcome basket and watching the cows at the bottom of the garden was surprisingly entertaining! We have stayed at a few holiday cottages over the years and this one was the best for our needs, level access shower, washing and drying facilities and the biggest bed in the world! Sanctuary of healing is 2 mins walk and has a nice organic cafe and does a lovely massage. We’ve come home and feel it was one of the easiest and most relaxing holidays we’ve had. About the location

LANGHO, LANCASHIRE

Whalley 3.4 miles; Clitheroe 6.7 miles miles; Longridge 8.6 miles

Langho is a small rural village in the Ribble Valley of Lancashire. The village is split into two halves of the old and new, new Langho developed when the construction of the railway took place in the mid-19th century, turning it into a minor but still thriving commercial centre. The new church of St Leonard was built in 1879 because that at Old Langho was considered to be too far away, however even the new church is now rather isolated since the A59 roundabout was built. The ancient part of the village is considered a real gem, steeped in history for visitors to explore, the old church of St Leonard was built from masonry taken from Whalley Abbey, which was demolished in 1537 on the orders of Henry VIII. There are pubs and eateries among a few small shops and a school in the village. The wider area however, boasts many points of interest to be discovered such as, Longridge Fell which lies at the southern end of the Forest of Bowland AONB, and whose summit rests above wild forestry, benefitting some wonderful vistas to the north and west, in particular towards Fair Snape Fell and the Trough of Bowland. Nearby Whalley provides excellent walking at Spring Wood and boasts a fabulous golf club, and the Dean Clough Resevoir offers more walking routes as well as cycling and mountain biking, with some fantastic landscapes to behold. Clitheroe is a great place to visit with plenty of shops and eateries to enjoy as well as taking a visit to Clitheroe Castle. Turton Tower is a distinctive English country home located in the small village of Turton, just 15 miles away, on the edge of the West Pennine Moors, portraying evidence of the Tudor and early Stuart periods. This wonderful area of the North West has much on offer, whether you feel like a leisurely stroll, a lively night out or delving deep in history, it has it all, engulfing a delightful village in which to base your holiday break.
