  • "A super internal layout which allows effectively 3 separate bedroom suites, 2 with an en-suite and bathroom to two bedrooms and one on ground floor with 2 bedrooms sharing a large wet room."

Two lougr areas well separated mean our multi age group could watch tvs separately. Kitchen facilities excellent with ample crockery, serving and cooking pans, casseroles etc to cater for 10 people.Hot tub brilliant and again large enough for all to enjoy together.

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your fabulous feedback. Sounds like the layout suited your family well. And I'm pleased you found the kitchen to be well stocked with kitchen equipment. The hot tub is great , as it large enough for most group sizes. Especially good when you had chance to do some stargazing during your stay! Property Owner

The added bonus of the pool table was perfect for a rainy evening. Fantastic attractions on the doorstep such as White Scar Caves and Ingleton Waterfalls Trail, and of course, The Three Peaks! Superb hiking and cycling opportunities from the front door. A throughly enjoyable and memorable stay!

  • "Our party of 13 (aged 15-80) were captivated by the size, layout, lightness, spaciousness and comfort of the barn, which belies its rather austere exterior."

First floor en-suite bedroom particularly attractive with high beamed ceiling and extensive views. Two of the bedrooms had been reconfigured as per our request, by the extremely pleasant and helpful owner, Mrs Handley. Pool table and hot tub greatly enjoyed. Couple of cons:- A squeeze to get 13 round the table: one person had to use a side table as a seat as not enough dining chairs. However, because of the size of the chairs there would not have been enough space to use it. Also, as three of the party were only 152cm tall, a small folding stool for accessing the kitchen cupboards would have been useful. As we approached the property from Hawes, and the metal gate was already open, the Three Peaks Barn sign was not visible until we turned around and retraced our route. A sign on both sides of the gate or a larger one would be helpful. In conclusion:- This luxurious property is situated in beautiful, open, rolling countryside with the backdrop of the Ribblehead Viaduct - stunning. I cannot recommend this property highly enough and look forward to viewing more Sykes properties.

Thank you very much for your great feedback. Great to hear you where impressed with the barn, its stunning surroundings ,the pool table and hot tub also. I shall certainly take into consideration your valid points. Thank you for informing of these suggestions. Property Owner

  • "It was a nice stay."

The owner is very attentive and amiable. The barn inside is bigger than the pictures and is clean. On the outside, some shade would be a good idea when it gets very sunny, an umbrella or an awning would have been very helpful. The views from the back of the property are stunning. There were some issues, more with Sykes website. One issue was the images on Sykes website, all of the pictures are good representations of the barn inside and the views from the back of the house, the views are amazing from the back of the property. From the images presented it seems like the barn is in the middle of nowhere, It isn't, it is right next to the owner's farm and directly next to barns and a huge pile of manure. I think there needs to be a bit more honesty in the pictures that are representing the property. It's quite a surprise turning up to the property when the pictures are projecting a completely different isolated view, it's misleading. Obviously, the images have been cut just so, as not to incorporate the barns or manure heap. I know it's a working farm but it's a lot of money to rent that barn and I think it should have an honest representation of its situation, it's misleading. Also, if I had known that the owner comes to check on the hot tub every day, I would have to rethink if I was going to book it. A holiday is supposed to be relaxing and having the owner come over every day, isn't relaxing and isn't what you are paying for while on holiday. I think before you book a property with sykes there needs to be an honest overview of the position and rules at a property on the website. Then a customer can decide to book knowing everything about what their stay could involve. The barn is lovely and the views from the back are gorgeous. I would have liked to have known the full extent of position and extra rules that are not displayed in the posting for the property before payment.

Third time lucky for a holiday to celebrate our daughters 21st this year, due to lockdown and tiers, but so worth the wait! The barn exceeded all expectations and Diane was a perfect host with extra ‘above and beyond’ touches greatly appreciated. There were only 6 of us due to C19 rules so had an amazing amount of space, especially in the hot tub after many a walk in the day. A walk one evening to the Station Inn was a great way to celebrate a birthday and stargaze on the wobble back! Walks: we particularly enjoyed walks around Aysgarth Falls to Bolton Castle, Janets Foss, Malham and Goredale Scar and Hawes to High Force (despite being very muddy due to snow and rain and note HF opens at 11am due to time of year) Pool table, hot tub and fireplace were used most days. Barn had everything we needed and more to mostly self cater during our week and we cannot wait to return! Thanks once again Diane xx

! What a fabulous Barn.. the facilities, the location, the ever so helpful owner - really couldn't have asked for a better week away as we left the first lockdown of 2020. Was an amazing week, and really needed! The barn is a beautiful conversion, with all the mod cons you need for holiday break and more. There was no need to leave the barn, although we obviously did, can't imagine a better place to set off from for a whole level of walks every day! Not having to use the cars for the week (plenty of storage for a weeks worth of food for 12 of us!). The layout of the barn lends itself to a really communal atmosphere for a great family (or friends) break, but with breakout areas for quieter times if needed! To wake up every morning and weather permitting look out on to Ingleborough in all its glory was wonderful. All equipment/facilities in the barn were of great quality and there was things that we didn't know we needed on hand! The quality of fixtures and fittings, bedding and towel/robes were 5* hotel quality. Can't wait to go back again!

The cottage was well stocked with kitchen equipment, the beds were very comfortable and the reclining sofas offered a good rest after a long day. My 3 year old was very enamoured with the large hot tub (we even managed to get into it during the day when we had snow even if it was very cold outside!), the robes provided were great for keeping warm when getting out. We would highly recommend the Station Inn for food and even just a pint, we ate there three times in all and everyone had great food, it is all home cooked and the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. The host Dianne was brilliant, she provided us with balloons and a bottle of bubbly as we were celebrating my husbands birthday, she also let us know of a last minute steam train going over the viaduct which was great to see.

It has been finished to a very high standard and is beautiful inside and out. It has an excellent view of the Ribblehead Viaduct to one side and stunning views of the dales everywhere else. These views make the hot tub even better even though we didn’t get much time in it which you’ll read why later on. I arranged for a birthday package for our arrival which was excellent. A large happy birthday bunting as soon as you walk into the property with ballons and banners, flowers, chocolates and a lovely bottle of champagne is what my partner was greeted with and she loved it. A big mention and thanks to Diane who is the owner of the property. She was amazing. During our stay we were hit with storm deirdre which was savage. We were hit by very strong wind with freezing rain and unfortunately for us electrical cables were damaged in the valley which caused us to have a power cut. Within ten minutes Diane was on the door checking on us and organised straight away some hot water as we had a baby with us, some normal water and plenty of logs to keep the fire going. Again, the next morning she was there checking and provided fresh boiled water in flasks again. She was excellent Ingleton is just a short drive away and has everything you need. A large co op and there are some takeaways for them nights you can’t be bothered. I remember having a quick look at something in the barn which said that Tesco do deliver to this property for the people who like to be organised and take everything with them. This is one less thing to pack and one less thing on your mind and list to do before you go. Due to the storm we were a little limited on what we could whilst we were there but we did manage to get out on the Sunday and do the Ingleton Water Falls Trail. This was stunning. With all of the bad weather it really did bring the falls and rivers to life and I would definitely recommend it. We did see people walking past he property on the Sunday so you can pick up a walking route from the barn if you didn’t want to drive anywhere. Diane has also provided walking routes in the welcome pack book which looked good and is very helpful. All in all I would strongly recommend going to the barn as you will not be disappointed

Views are amazing! Very clean and a lovely welcome basket of wine, chocolate, coffee & tea. There are plenty of very good quality towels in each of the bedrooms and the beds were made up. Small boxes of tissues are also provided in the bedrooms and bathrobes in a couple of the bedrooms (not all of them). These are for the hot-tub which we used. It was lovely and warm and very relaxing enjoying the view. On one of the previous reviews it was mentioned you can pre-order from Tesco's online. We did this and it arrived on time. We got a little confused getting there as we were told the satnavs take you the wrong way but thankfully ours didn't! We did visit The Old Hill Inn (nearby). Lovely pub and good food but as there was 10 of us we had to pre-order the food a week beforehand and I also had to give my debit card details as they said if we didn't turn up we would be charged for the food which is fair enough. We wanted to go another evening but once again was told we needed to pre-order. Unfortunately at Three Peaks Barn you don't always get the internet connection so we decided we wouldn't be able to get back to them to pre-oder so we went elsewhere. There is a pay phone at the Barn but that also wasn't a great connection as the person I phoned had trouble hearing me. But this place is perfect for a "getaway from it all holiday". Wonderful walks (if that's what you like). We all had a wonderful time and I would definitely recommend a visit!

  • "This was our second visit to Three Peaks Barn, we were a party of 13 adults over 50 years old, as before we found the Owners to be very welcoming, fresh flowers and generous welcome box on arrival, there was also an opportunity to look round their farm."

The accommodation is beautifully set out, spacious, and comfortable, lovely bedrooms, well fitted kitchen area and large dining table, we loved the woodburning stove on those chilly evenings. The location is ideal for excellent walks in the area straight from the front door, with a pub 15 mins walk away which is a real bonus for such a remote setting, the nearby station also makes visits to surrounding places accessible without having to drive. We enjoyed amazing views of the peaks and Ribblesdale viaduct from the barn, also the hot tub was much appreciated especially after a challenging climb up Whernside , a most enjoyable week in fact it couldn't have been better, thank you

We went as a group of 12 from Leeds, Cardiff and Birmingham and we all had an amazing time! Barn felt much bigger than in the pictures and everything was done to a very high standard. Enjoyed every minute and would definitely recommend this barn. We all had a wonderful time! Xxx

  • "A fantastic stay for the whole party of 8, the cottage owners are brilliant & couldn't be more helpful, we will definitely be booking again in the future."

Ian was very informative about how the farm worked, which was a great insight for my friends who are city folk.. A couple of us went into Ingleton to walk the falls, which was a great end to the stay... as long as you have your provisions you've no need to drive your car for a few days, relax and enjoy the surroundings. If there was one thing it might just be a bigger directional sign of the main road.. Thanks again Gerrard

  • "The Barn and location are extremely good, in fact, probably the best we have ever experienced."

Only one minor negative, we would have benefited from knowing about the water situation by the information being in a more prominent place (on arrival) so we could see it sooner. The owner (Diane) was very, very accommodating and generous. There was a cake and two bottles of wine on arrival plus a Taylor's pack of coffee . When she discovered it was my 70th birthday, she also gave me a bottle of Champagne, none of which was expected but a very pleasant surprise. The Grandchildren loved the tour of the farm with the new born calf etc. Overall, it was an excellent facility and Diane went the extra mile to help make our stay even better than expected.

  • "I went to The Three Peaks Barn with my family for a 60 th birthday celebration, it is a lovely house and in a beautiful location."

The accommodation is very spacious and there was plenty of room for all of us to do spend some time doing our own thing as well as being together. On wet days there are plenty of things to do in the area to keep us entertained (train ride over the viaduct, visit show cave) and on fine days you need go no further than enjoying the splendid views in all directions for the hot tub.
