  • "Lovely cottage, fantastic kitchen."

Comes with a dishwasher as a pleasant surprise. Listed as three bed but only two, which we were warned about so that was fine. Living room a bit small for five adults, could do with another chair, but was cosy. One downside was a dispute with the leather sofa having a mark on it, which actually appears in the pictures of the cottage on the website, but we were told it wasn't there before we'd arrived, so we worried about this the week. But overall a great place to stay, would recommend.

  • "The cottage was listed as a 3 bed, but it was not, it was only a 2 bed."

So my 17 year old daughter and 16 year old son had to share a room. After I had promised they wouldn't. Was our last family holiday before daughter goes to uni. Not happy.spoke with syke cottages to be informed they can't do anything. That annoyed me as well. Also didnt realise there was a working sheep farm attached to the cottage, so nice early wake ups. I loved the area , the cottage was nice, has a problem with thunder flies sadly, but not owners fault just location I guess.

  • "I had a chat yesterday with one of your agents about the cottage we are staying in as the description on your site was incorrect (stated it was 3 bedrooms when in fact it is only 2) and we have 5 people in our party meaning our 3 year old daughter is having to sleep in our room."

Not what we expected when we booked as specifically searched for a 3 bedroom cottage. When we arrived and spoke to the owner she advised that she had contacted yourselves several times to correct it and it wasn’t done and that you were going to contact me before we arrived to advise but nobody ever did so was left to the owner to do so which isn’t really what she should have to do and as the booking was not we were expecting for our party, I would appreciate some compensation for the inconvenience we have suffered due to the incorrect listing on your site of the property.
