  • "We all had a fantastic stay at the cottage."

Couldn’t fault the cottage and it’s facilities, or the owner who was very attentive and helpful. The whole places has a real quality feel to it and has been refurbished to the highest standards. The cottage is quite remote so I would recommend taking everything you need in terms of food and drink as the main supermarkets are 20 mins away.

Thank you for your lovely comments x Property Owner

We were even visited by wild horses. Really well equipped with thoughtful extra touches making the stay so relaxing and comfortable. The hot tub was wonderful. So much to do nearby.

  • "Wow what an amazing place!"

We had the most restful, peaceful holiday with our family. The whole place has been finished to the highest quality and the appliances were so easy to use. It’s very remote and rural and the view from the bedroom window every morning was amazing! Would definitely recommend we had the best time!! Thank you!

. everything you could possibility need during your stay has been thought of. Views from cottage spectacular and well worth getting up early to catch the morning sunrise and beautiful skies. Thank you to the owners for providing a welcome hamper... you will need to ensure you have food to tide you over until you get to the shops which is a wee drive away. Overall a wonderful experience and certainly would not hesitate in returning.

  • "The cottage was very much like you see in the pictures, it is off the beaten track and quite high up the hill side."

If you are looking for a remote getaway with lots of walking options at you doorstep to explore the northern lakes then this is for you. Weather was not our friend but we had a great time all the same at Lower Carhullan cottage and would happily return.

Thank you for the feedback. Maybe return in better weather. Property Owner

  • "Beautiful holiday cottage with spectacular views."

It is very remote and peaceful. Furnished to a very high standard and communication with the hosts was excellent. Lovely welcome hamper on arrival. We even saw a red squirrel in the garden. Have booked through Sykes before, highly recommend.

The process was easy and we found the nicest holiday house we’ve ever stayed in. The facilities were excellent and the location simply stunning.

  • "The Cottage was wonderful - a really great standard and very comfortable with absolutely everything we could ever need!"

Would highly recommend it and are thinking of booking again the next time we journey to the Lakes! A tip for future renters as the cottage is in a beautiful area and is very remote we would recommend to purchase your food before you arrive. However, one small point which was not clear in the description - the cottage is finally accessed via an unmade track which is fine for an SUV but is a little difficult in Winter in an ordinary car and certainly not recommended in Winter for a Sporting car....!
