  • "We have been at the Cottage several times and it didn’t disappoint."

On this visit, we did notice that the cleanliness of the property had declined a little, however this would not stop us booking again. Great cottage in a wonderful location. Thank you.

  • "Very disappointed with the lack of cleanliness at this property."

Cobwebs were evident in virtually every room and mold in the bathrooms along with dirty grout inbetween tiles in both bathrooms. Under the sofas hadn't been cleaned as my 8 month old puppy found a large piece of glass with hair wrapped around it! Kitchen tiles were dirty in areas too.. extractor fan was filthy with grease ..lights not working on it.. We had a great stay in the area but unfortunately the cleanliness let the holiday down! Check in is at 5pm and check out at 10am so a very adequate 7 hours to clean house from top to bottom which obviously wasn't used very well!

  • "Spent an enjoyable week commencing 9 September 2022 at 14 Low Row."

The cottage was very clean and comfortable. We used it as a base to access the South Western fells which worked well for us. The cottage is well equipped and the landlady has supplied quality furniture and fittings throughout which was appreciated. Would not hesitate to recommend to others and hopefully we will return next year. Thank you for a really enjoyable stay. Merv and Denise

I agree with others in that the Pictures do not do it Justice and the owners have heeded suggestions from past guests i.e. bigger T.V and Microwave they clearly care about their guests and it shows. I have no hesitation in recommending this lovely Cottage.

  • "Our only criticism would be 1700 check in and more importantly 0900 exit time."

We are more used to 1500 check in and 1000 departure. Otherwise excellent comfortable cozy spacious cottage.

Thank you for your feedback. The check in time is 17:00, however the check out time is 10:00 and not 9:00. Sorry for any confusion that might have been caused in this regard. Property Owner

  • "We had such a lovely week away in the cottage."

I don’t think we could’ve chosen better for location, comfort or convenience. 5 minute walk to the train station meant we could be in Ulverston within 15 minutes which was great for Sunday afternoon enjoying Sunday lunch and drinks in the pub when the weather was dismal. We were only a half hour lovely, mostly off road, walk away from Cartmel and an hours walk from Grange. Also at least 3 pubs were of walking distance from the cottage too. There was a lot of wet cold weather the week that we were there but it didn’t ruin the holiday as we had a lovely cosy cottage with 2 log burners to come home to. A well stocked kitchen and lots of homely touches around the cottage as well as an extra living room and a fantastic shower and comfy bed made our stay so much better than it could have been had we opted for a different cottage so we were so happy we went ahead and booked as the cottage was far better than the advert made out. The owner also went out her way to return an item my daughter had left behind which we were also very grateful for. I think this cottage is perfect any season as in the summer you could make use of the back yard with its large table and chairs or the front garden listening to the river. We would highly recommend this property.

It was also in an excellent location - quiet but with a very short walk to the local shop and to a pleasant pub. Would happily stay here again.

  • "The property was excellent however, our major concern was the process of getting the keys."

We could not contact the owner in the morning and had to contact Sykes for help. An email or text with the key code on the morning of arrival would have solved the problem and saved us getting anxious.

Thank you for your comments and I’m glad that you found everything at the house excellent. I’m very sorry that the key collection information proved difficult and this is the first time that any guest has encountered a problem with this. The instruction from Sykes is that you can contact me for the collection details 48 hours before arrival and in truth most guests do this earlier than this. You left me a voicemail at 9 am on the morning of arrival. I responded as soon as I could at 12.30,my lunch break, which was well in advance of the check in time at the property which is 5pm. • "Really enjoyed our stay and the cottage."

Good sized bedrooms , comfy beds , ensuite and bathroom were great, bright clean and again a good size. Kitchen really well equipped making cooking any meal easy. Cupboards full of cups, mugs, plates more than enough for the amount of people the cottage can hold. Nice touch was a store of essential everyday items like, salt, pepper, sugar, oils, stock , foil, cling film, then dishwsher tablets, wahing up liquid. Basically the bag packed with things I could not do without were supplied! Really quet location in a village with 2 pubs, a shop and great ealks and places to visit. The outside spaces bith front and rear would be great in summer. We will book again. Parking whilst not straight forward was never a problem we got 2 cars parked with 50-75 yards every time we returned . One of our best cottage holiday stays

Great location. Plenty space and all necessities were provided. Felt extra care in cleaning should be taken. Under furniture and under cushions especially. Outside areas needed a bit of care and attention. Both front and rear gardens required weeding, tidying and better garden furniture could be provided.

  • "The description of the facilities on your website say "there is no microwave at this property"."

I contacted your customer services to check if this was correct. They replied that they were sorry but that was correct. No Microwave. With it being Christmas and cooking the Christmas meal and Boxing Day meal, we decided to buy a small microwave. Imagine our frustration after bringing the microwave in the car, to find Yes there was a microwave in the kitchen which was excellent. I was quite annoyed with regard to this error on your listing and your customer services. Please amend your details. I agree with previous reviews the parking is a problem, with double yellow lines on both sides of the road. Overall we had a very enjoyable stay at Low Row. One other minor issue I have never been asked to strip all Beds before vacation, not a problem but I thought it was a little unusual. The property was very clean, and tidy with plenty of amenities. Super.
