The cottage was really nice in fact one of the best we've stayed in .the location was quiet . But only a few minutes walk to the local pub which serves good food . Cark is a lovely little village nice to walk the dog around locally ,or you can jump in the car and its not to far to explore the lakes . We would definitely return.

Nothing was too much trouble said the owner of the property but we wanted for nothing so had a lovely stay. Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short as we had a family emergency and left after only 3 nights holiday but would love to return in the future as great night sleep, great holiday cottage and we would also recommend a trip on the local train to grange over sands which was only 7 minutes away and £3 return, a great day out, cannot recommended this cottage enough. Thank you for everything

Situated in a quiet courtyard in a small village. Two pubs within walking distance. Unfortunately the Rose & Crown was shut the weekend we visited, but we went to the Engine Inn which was dog friendly and served some nice home cooked food and a friendly welcome. There is also a small Londis store nearby which sells all the basics. We had a huge bed which was very comfortable so ensured a good nights sleep. Some nice walks nearby.

The peace and quiet, comfy bed, together with the sea air, have given us some of the best nights sleep for a long while. The car has felt a bit neglected. We have sat on the patio with a glass of wine, watching that many goldfinch that sit on the fence. We have enjoyed watching the parachutes from the local airfield (no it is not noisy). It is an ideal base for walks around the Leven Estuary and the Cartel Peninsula but also within easy reach of the more popular areas of the lakes by car,and nearby train and boat. The property is in the most dog friendly area, (shops /Pubs/ local residents), we have been to.
