“Check in was terrible.”
Was told to meet the housekeeper at 3pm. Got there for 2.40, text the housekeeper to say we were early so just sat in the bar where reception were telling people to wait.
Rang the housekeeper at 3pm and again at 3.15 with no answer. We didnt get seen until 4pm and with a very bored 6 & 2 year old in the car this wasnt the best start to the holiday! I wouldnt care she didnt show us how anything worked in the cabin and we couldnt use the shower for our stay as no clue how it worked.
The cabin itself was actually lovely and modern and had a PS4 (although no HDMI lead but most games were 15 & 18, no good for my 6 year old) Netflix, a washing machine, dishwasher and wifi.
The real downside of the cabin was that it had an overpowering smell of dog and whilst we knew it said dogs were welcome i didnt expect this when paying close to £600 for the holiday. It was disgusting on arrival but i guess you then dont smell it after a few hours.
I wouldnt book this cabin again just purely down to the allowance of dogs, something really needs to be done about it

My apologies this is a first issue we have had and I have addressed it so should not happen again. I Was assured it was due to the time of year and how busy she was. The Hdmi lead has been replaced and labelled with please do not remove. Spoke with cleaners and previous visitors and nobody seems to feel there is a smell. Please be aware the lodge is dog friendly.
