  • "Site could benefit from some street lights."

If not possible perhaps street direction boards could be lit up. Very difficult to find your way around site during darkness.

  • "We had a lovely stay at 6 Sherwood, on arrival the owner Malcolm met us and took us to the lodge, he was lovely bought us milk, flowers and wine which I thought was really lovely."

He made us feel so welcome. We have stayed on park a few times in different lodges we love it here. We visited a place called Arndale on the Friday which is beautiful, Kendal on Saturday which is a lovely place to shop with plenty of parking and places to eat, Sunday we went to Windermere which we love to visit when there only about 20-25mins from park and on Monday check out is at 10am so we popped to morecambe for a few hours before heading home. We would highly recommend 6 Sherwood it was very clean, fully equipped and very comfy with reclining sofas. We will definitely be back

So very very pleased you had a lovely time Welcome again anytime Property Owner

  • "Was met by the owner with a very warm welcome, plus wine, flowers and milk which was very much appreciated."

We found the lodge to be very comfy and cosy. Spotless clean with everything you could need. Bed was comfortable with a lovely en-suite. Plenty of outside seating which we never got to use because of the lovely British summer weather. We would highly recommend 6 Sherwood and would return in a heart beat. Many thanks for a lovely stay.

Hope the weather didn't spoil things too much Property Owner

  • "We had an amazing short break!"

Our host was fantastic and we can't thank him enough for making us feel so welcome. We were greeted with a bottle of milk, bunch of flowers and a bottle of wine - we've had many little breaks away and never has such a welcome been given. The lodge itself is completely unexpected - the photographs do it no justice whatsoever. It's huge and spacious and has everything you could need. Very clean and comfortable and in a beautiful setting. The leisure village is really pretty - lush green grass and huge lake perfect surroundings for walking about and dog friendly. The onsite bar & restaurant were pleasant (I can't comment on the food as we didn't eat there) but we did stop for a couple of drinks. On the expensive side but not ridiculously so. There's a pool and gym on site which all look very modern and plenty of equipment. Our daughter nagged to go swimming so we came back early from our travels one afternoon to take her. This was the part of the holiday I didn't enjoy; we went in at 4pm to be told they only do full day passes for swimming and it cost £30!!!! For myself and our 7yr old (including arm bands for her too). I questioned being charged so much and was told it's because we're 'private guests'. We could have gone to a fun water park for half that price! However, our daughter really enjoyed herself in there (family swim is only on until 6.30 so only managed a couple of hours). Overall, an amazing place, the best host we've ever had the privilege of meeting and fantastic location for driving out to local beauty spots and villages. We would highly recommend a break here.

So glad you had a great time sorry about the pool Hope to see you all again soon Property Owner

  • "The owners was very welcoming and very helpful."

It was a nice touch to be presented with a welcoming gifts. The actual accommodation was well st out and clean. The only downside to the holiday was the internet was very slow and at one point was unavailable for a period of time.. The entrance was by means of 4 steps which was described in the on the site and I was prepared for that but I must say I struggled as I am disabled this is not a downer on the property just a warning to any other disabled holiday maker is aware. The whole holiday though was in a good area and vey and pleasant surroundings. Would recommend as long as something is done about the internet

Sorry about the internet unfortunately it's something I have no control over Hopefully it did not spoil your stay too much Property Owner

  • "Lovely property, very clean, lots of useful extras like fans and a thermos flask."

The van has a enclosed deck so excellent for dogs, let’s them be outside in the deck without worrying they will make a dash for someone’s BBQ!. The site has a pool and a pond with a little beach and a cafe with delivery option and is ideal for visiting the dales, lakes or seaside. Malcolm (the owner) greeted us with flowers, milk and wine and coffee and tea were supplied which was lovely after a long drive. Great place, we are looking forward to visiting again as so much to do and see.
