  • "Overall the stay was good but the lodge lacked in cleanliness ."

We had a full dishwasher to empty/re-wash on arrival and it smelt as though the carpets throughout hadn’t been hoovered. There was balloons under the dining room to bake from previous stay and just generally not clean. Other than that it was ok.

  • "An enjoyable week, the lodge was very good, and the site was very nice."

The one criticism of the site would be the lack of bins around the site. Just about every lodge had a dog and there were no bins for wrapped dog mess, it was a bit disgusting to have to carry it and household rubbish to the main bins near reception, especially as my only option was by car, my health doesn’t allow me to walk far carrying things.

The lodge was amazing was very clean and tidy and left towels and little treats for the dog

  • "The lodge itself had everything we needed and was very spacious and clean."

The family loved our stay, the hot tub and location to the Lakes. We used the water sports facilities at Pine Lake and we all loved that. The only negative was the on site restaurant. They advertised take away but on the 2 occasions we wanted it, they refused due to being too busy in the restaurant, they should have made an attempt to put signs up to explain as we planned our days around where we would eat and finding our there was no takeaway when the local takeaways were also closed left us with only a late opening shop for choices. Also, the pool was not clean. I would constantly be taking other people’s hair off my hands and goggles, I lasted 20 mins before I had to leave. We would go again as the lodge was the main thing we needed but would plan to not need the on site facilities at all.

However lots of lights not working and areas of the lodge not cleaned. Beds were uncomfortable need replacing. Freezer door was not attached to the outer door making difficult to open

Lodge was good Accommodation was nice Disappointed in the smell from Carpets Strong smell of animal urine Had to buy carpet cleaner and fabreze to help with the smell Did ring and report on the first day Besides that everything was good Location Was very close to the main road so had to deal with traffic during the day and night Shame really as the park was very quiet And easy access to everything

Absolutely beautiful. The location is great, great neighbours the beautiful weather topped it off. I love the little things that were included for example a basket full of dog treats/blankets, a whole cupboard full of games and Films. The hot tub was perfect after a long day out. Very clean & tidy. Will definitely be back :) x

  • "Positives..."

hot tub reached and maintained a good temperature, extra towels were a nice touch. Well stocked in terms of kitchen equipment, couch and bedding comfy. Negatives. The road noise is relentless even at 4am and should be captured on the listing. This lodge is only separated from the A6 by trees and you cannot open windows on a night because of the traffic noise. This lodge should not be listed as a quiet location. There was a charge of £160 for 6 of us to use the pool for a week which is ridiculous. This should be captured in the listing. Not a massive amount of room to store clothes etc and some of owners own equipment used some of the cupboard space. A washing machine would be useful.
