The property

Enjoying a wonderful position on the waterfront, is this delightful holiday accommodation, Samhchair Lodge, which is Gaelic for 'peace without interupption'.

Bring your friends and family to this spacious property, which can be used as a base for exploring the city of Lancaster, the Forest of Bowland AONB and the glorious Morecambe Bay.

Bring your own boat or craft as the lodge has its own jetty, an anglers delight!

Enter the property into the boot room, where there is ample storage for shoes and coats, with plenty of additional space, before you head into the open plan lounge, diner, kitchen area.

Catering to your culinary needs, this kitchen plays host to all of the essentials including an electric oven, hob, fridge, freezer, Nespresso machine and a dishwasher and washing machine for convenience, as well as additional extras such a blender, mixer and more, a bakers dream!

As the evening draws to a close, make your way into the sitting room where an electric fire is awaiting you on those chilly winter evenings.

Turn on the fire and unwind into your evening with a good book in hand, or perhaps with a glass of deserved wine.

Ensuring a flexible sleeping arrangement for all party make ups, are the three well-presented bedrooms, comprising of a double bedroom with ensuite, and two twin bedrooms,sharing the family bathroom, each one complete with dressing table and walk in wardrobe with integrated storage for your belongings.

To the outside, a wrap-around varanda offers a paranamic view of the lake with alternative space for alfresco dining and bbq during the summer months before dipping into the hottub for moment of relaxation.

If you don’t fancy cooking for the evening, there is an onsite restraunt and bar, however further afield, in the villages of Carnforth or Milnphorpe, head out to the local pub or explore the villages further to find a selection of eateries, ranging from Italian, an Indian and a fish and chip shop, in addition to a shop for picking up any essentials.

To keep you busy whilst here, be sure to head to Morecambe Bay which is a beautiful natural landscape, where you can unearth your outdoor adventure, or enjoy fish and chips on the pier, watching the sunset.

Alternatively, walk across the headlands of The Bay, where sweeping views towards the Lake District and the Bowland Fells can be enjoyed.

Such activities which can be enjoyed at the lakes, include parachuting, windsurfing, mountain biking, horse-riding, and kitesurfing.

For a taste of history, enjoy a scenic drive to Arnside and Silverdale, home to a number of historical landmarks and a plethora of walks amidst the area of Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Catch the train across to Grange-over-sands, and admire the Lido which has been there since victorian times.

If you are feeling adventurous, you could spend the day at the seaside resort of Blackpool or the nearby city of Lancaster, where you will find a castle, ancient city walls and a range of quirky shops to explore.
