“Thank you ever so much for this ...”Thank you ever so much for this holiday, it was exactly as was stated on the website; a lovely romantic and quiet retreat and the wildlife (rabbits and pheasant) came to visit every day as well, which was lovely to see. The whole site was idyllic and the accommodation was faultless. The hot tub was a lovely extra which we used every day. It was worth every penny and we definitely will be coming back.Thank you ever so much for this holiday, it was exactly as was stated on the website; a lovely romantic and quiet retreat and the wildlife (rabbits and pheasant) came to visit every day as well, which was lovely to see. Allithwaite and Cartmel 1 mile. These superb semi-detached, contemporary lodges are positioned in a secluded corner of the exclusive "Pastures at Cartmel" Holiday Park, a mile from the coastal village of Allithwaite, close to the village of Cartmel and town of Grange-over-Sands. These lodges are beautifully-presented throughout with an open plan living area with woodburning stove and French doors opening to a private decked area and hot tub. The lodges also have a lovely double bedroom with en-suite facilities. The park itself is set among 26 acres of woodland and pasture and is surrounded by glorious countryside. Allithwaite is close by and has the convenience of a shop, Post Office and a pub serving food, and within easy reach is the picturesque village of Cartmel with its 12th century priory, L’Enclume, a famous Michelin-starred restaurant, quality pubs serving real ales and an artisan shop, which sells amongst other items the famous sticky toffee pudding. Cartmel also has the smallest racecourse in the UK and has meets throughout the summer months. Towards the coast you can explore Humphrey's Head on foot or by bike, where you will see the sheer expanse of Morecambe Bay, and on a clear day you can watch planes taking off and sky divers gliding to the small air strip close by. From Newby Bridge, you take a cruise and watch the stunning scenery unfold from the water, or you may wish to explore Windermere, Ambleside and Grizedale Forest. There is so much to see and do, but at the end of the day you can return to the peace and tranquillity, where you can relax in the hot tub or cosy up in front of the woodburning stove. These wonderful lodges are an ideal place to unwind, recharge and feel rejuvenated.
An ideal base for a couple, you enter this wonderful lodge into a hallway, which then opens to a spacious and contemporary open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with woodburning stove.
