  • "Marked down slightly because of steep stairs at front which are plastic and quite slippy when wet."

Bedroom is smaller than picture makes it seem. But this is a very clean mobile home with quality interior and in a nice setting.

  • "The property was lovely."

Extremely clean and had all the facilities needed for a relaxing break from a hectic life. No problems at all. Excellent communication from the owner regarding the electricity going off on the Tuesday - if they hadn't let us know, we would have been stressed. We weren't told by anyone else it would go off, so thank you and Sykes passed the message to us. The reminder emails about the key safe were great communication by Sykes. The whole thing was so stress free - thank you. We were so impressed with Pippin Lodge that we hoovered up, cleaned the basin, put all crockery away, stripped the beds and cleaned the inside of the fridge to help with turnaround. Also, if you hadn't accepted dogs we wouldn't have had such a lovely holiday.

Thank you so much for your lovely feedback. We are really glad you enjoyed Pippin lodge and thank you so much for helping with turnover it was much appreciated Property Owner

  • "We do several of these weekly rentals round the UK with our dog, Pippin Lodge is the best we have found."

The design with lots of windows works really well, the position on the park feels secluded, and everything in the lodge felt comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, everything worked, local area had all we needed. If it was a little closer to home, we would be coming back several times a year. Worst thing I could find was that we could have used one more shelf in the bathroom; we worked round that. Marvellous place.

Aww thank you very much for the lovely feedback. Really happy you enjoyed your stay Property Owner

  • "He Pippin Lodge was nice and warm and extremely clean on our arrival."

The kitchen sink window became the main feature of our break. The variety of different birds made you pick up the guide to check what was about. Bring some bird food with you and nuts fo4 the squirrels,it was so entertaining.Seeing the pheasant so close was a highlight. The lodge was very comfortable and we slept well in the bed. The site is close to Cartmel to walk into, but the lanes are very narrow and a slight incline on the return journey. The village is very nice with 5 pubs and a number of coffee shops. Our favourite was Cartmel Coffee Shop in the square and Julie makes some lovely cakes. Nice beer garden at the rear of the Cavendish Arms and The Pig and Whistle. We found the prices in the pubs expensive to eat but the menus appeared to give a good choice. Plenty of dog walks from the Lodge and walking through the Racecourse makes you wonder how the village copes with so many people. Although our weather was mixed, we did have bright sunny days out ,a boat trip on Windermere was excellent and the day out to Keswick in the sunshine showed off the landscape in its glory. We enjoyed our stay at the Pippin Lodge and would defiantly go back.

  • "Pleasantly surprised on arrival."

Comfortable furnishings, clean, roomy and nothing over the top just a home from home. The woodland life playing in the woods (seen through the kitchen window each morning) was amazing! Our stay was during 2 strong storms Dudley and Eunice) and we didn’t hear a thing. The steps leading to the lodge were our only concern. My husband does have mobility issues so we’re very aware of these things. Thoroughly enjoyed the wood stove too. Thank you.

  • "We will be returning to Pippin Lodge in the near future."

A hidden gem, very comfortable place to stay and was spotlessly clean too. Everything in the lodge was perfect when we arrived, there was even some fresh milk in the fridge for our first cup of tea. We stayed with our 2 dogs which we found very safe and secure for them, there was a gate we could put across the front entrance to make it 100% doggy secure. A perfect base to explore South Lakeland and some fantastic local pubs to eat in locally, we took the dogs to the Pheasant Inn about 5 minutes drive away and had a lovely meal. Thank you Pippin Lodge, we will see you again soon. Mike & Caroline (Dogs Lulu & Zico).

  • "Pippin lodge is just beautiful!"

Very much a home from home! There is everything you can possibly think of in the lodge and it was spotlessly clean upon our arrival. The decking area is perfect for sitting out on (with the bonus of a side decked area with lovely views which was a surprise to us) and there is a fence that you can put across the steps of the decking to make it secure for dogs! The lodge is perfectly located for walking into nearby Cartmel. Would highly recommend!

  • "Just one thing, there was a wedding on site on the Sunday, we got back on Sunday afternoon to rather loud music followed by a live band ect must have been testing system on the Saturday previous day as well ."

So was not so relaxing on those two days. It was hot so needed the doors open but by doing so couldn't hear the television so had to close them . Might be a good idea to check if there is an event taking place on the site so you could advise guests in advance. I have to add the accommodation was excellent though despite the previous comments.
