About the property

This quaint cottage is in the centre of the beautiful village of Cartmel near Grange-over-Sands, Cumbria.

Ideal for a romantic break to get away from it all and explore this lovely part of the country.

Inside this lovely cottage, where all the ceilings are beamed, there is an open plan living area with kitchen, dining area and sitting area with an inbuilt woodburner, as well as underfloor heating to keep you cosy.

Upstairs there is a double bedroom with window seat, and modern walk-in shower room with shower, basin and WC.

Just a step out of the door and there is a bakery together with a pub, called the Pig and Whistle, with playing fields just over the road and just a two minute walk to the centre of Cartmel, where there is a selection of pubs, cafes and restaurants.

The village racecourse is not far from the cottage and seeing the racehorses coming and going adds to the charm of staying in this area.

A little further afield is the town of Grange-over-Sands where there are beautiful parks and gardens and is situated alongside Morecambe Bay.

Just fifteen minutes away are the shores of Lake Windermere where you can pick up a steamer and cruise up the lake to Bowness-on-Windermere and the pretty village of Ambleside.

An ideal base for exploring the Lake District.
