About the property

Settled in the glorious countryside, with exceptional views of the River Lune, is this charming cottage, The Stables.

With a plethora of walking and cycling trails and within easy reach of the historic city of Lancaster, this lovely abode is the perfect place for a small family of three.

Drive up the winding, private road and leave your vehicle before you step out to soak in the quaint surroundings and admire the stone-fronted cottage with sun flowers perched outside.

Climb up a few steps to reach the home, discover the open-plan living space, elegantly furnished with light grey décor and thoughtfully laid-out for a spacious feel.

Prepare mouth-watering dishes in the ample-equipped kitchen area, boasting an electric oven to cook up a storm and a dishwasher to keep the area tidy.

When dinner is served, settle down at the wooden dining table to dig into a heart-warming meal, break open a bottle of champagne and toast to a fabulous getaway.

Unwind in the sitting area, with the choice between a sumptuous couch and tartan armchair; flick on the TV to catch up on your favourite series.

A beautiful village in the civil parish of Caton with Littledale in Lancashire in the Forest of Bowland Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. An archaeological village once inhabited by the Romans, confirmed by the two ancient stones that still stand today. Caton has an ancient oak tree by the local pub also denotes the history of the place as it was believed to be used by monks to hang the fish they were selling. The place has a plethora of walking and cycling facilities in the beautiful valley of the River Lune. As well as some stunning beauty, Brookhouse has a pub, a Chinese takeaway and a convenience store as well as more amenities and essentials in the neighbouring Caton. The beautiful city of Lancaster sits just a short drive away and is most certainly worth a visit, it is completely different to the country life in Brookhouse but offers a good range of shops and pubs as well as a stunning castle. The delightful seaside town of Morecambe also sits within driving distance for a completely different experience again, this area has something for everyone.
