  • "Lovely cottage."

Quite compact but comfortable everything you need.(apart from spare toilet roll) but easy to purchase things at local coop. Lovely views. Parking not always too easy very narrow not much passing etc.

  • "Had the most wonderful week in Bank View."

The cottage is absolutely fabulous. The owner & housekeeper have gone to a lot of trouble to ensure everything is just perfect. So well equipped, lacked nothing. The bath tub was a highlight too! Can't wait to return.. Thank you.

The comfort and quality of the bedroom and bathroom were especially pleasing - what wonderfully hot baths! Also liked the generous welcome pack - thank you!

  • "It was a lovely cottage and very cosy."

Parking was at time, particular when arriving late a nightmare and should be pointed out that you maybe parked somewhere else in the village. You are not gaurenteed a spot outside the house. The bath in the upstairs was great but the water is extremely hot and maybe a warning is required. More information on local walks might have been good but all in all a really nice place. Was not happy at the quite excessive charge made to change date's which went up as i considered this. Communication with Sykes challenging when trying to find the answer to a simple question about a washing machine. There isn't one but god it was difficult in finding a way to ask, kept hitting contact us only to get a list or pre answered questions.

  • "The cottage was excellent, had everything we needed and is somewhere we would definitely return!"

There was a tiny niggle - they key could be very tricky to get out of the lock but it was merely something to be aware of rather than a problem!

  • "We did not feel that the cottage is suitable for dogs ."

    It’s too small .

  • "Lovely location , easy to access a number of beautiful lakes and walks ."

Ambleside, Grasmere and Coniston are both within a long stroll or a short drive . The cottage was provided with all we needed and the welcome basket was a much appreciated surprise . It was quite chilly of an evening for May and the heating just about coped ... we were glad of the wood burner on one particular day ! You would definitely appreciate it through Autumn and Winter . The self catering equipment is more than adequate but there are a couple of nice pubs within walking distance if you want a night off . A way of leaving out recycling items would be an improvement ... I would have thought it essential in such a wonderful area .
