Love the wood burning stove. Great for walking in the Settle area.

  • "Comfortable stay in quiet little village."

The only thing missing was outdoor space to sit in.

Many thanks for your feedback it is much appreciated and we're glad you enjoyed your stay. During the summer months guests are able to sit on an outside bench below the front window, there is also a beautiful green with benches only a couple of hundred yards from the cottage. These are illustrated in the pdf I send out a week before guests arrive. Property Owner

Hair found on mattress protector (not ours), cob webs and layers of dust and hair around the property. The oven dirty and unable to use. Fridge not working property therefore made our food soggy.

Everything was well prepared and clean. The situation of the cottage was very good and the village of Langcliffe very beautiful. The only adverse comment was that the single bed was not very comfortable and caused some backache.

A lovely cosy place with everything we needed for our stay. Great location for walking or a wander into Settle for some pub grub. Peter was a great host, sending plenty of info ahead of our stay and then checking in on us by text when we arrived to make sure we had all we needed. We didn't need to use the woodburner as the heating was enough but bear in mind you need to provide your own wood if you do wish to use it. Cottage otherwise well equipped and some excellent photo canvasses on display showing the area off brilliantly. Would definitely recommend and happily return.

The cottage was well resourced with everything you need. Only 20 mins walk in to Settle, though it’s uphill on the way back! Good base to explore the local area. If I had one small criticism, it’s the lack of a seating area outside, especially as we had glorious weather & it would have been good to relax & eat outside. Overall it was very good!

  • "It was advertised as having bike storage which was a plus for us as we intended to do some cycling, however when I called the owner the day before travelling to get key details I asked about cycling routes and was informed that the storage no longer existed."

This was a big disappointment and rather dampened our expectations and so we did not take our bikes as storage and security is of great importance. Otherwise a pleasant cottage.

Thank you very much for your feedback. The bike storage information should have been removed early than this. Apologies for any inconvenience this caused. We are very pleased you still enjoyed time at the cottage and we hope to welcome you back again in the near future. Property Owner
