  • "Just returned from a weeks stay at the Market Lounge and it's a great place to stay."

    Warm welcome given by David. The property is charming, beautifully decorated and extremely well placed for visiting Clitheroe and the Ribble Valley. Very well equipped with a super comfortable bed and very clean. Pauline and David are only a phone call away if you need anything. Would highly recommend a stay here.

  • "On arrival, we were greeted by the immaculate, sweet-smelling and beautifully decorated apartment."

    A bottle of champagne to calm down and celebrate topped up the experience. Everything we needed was at our disposal and the hosts - David and Pauline are such a wonderful couple, attending to all requests with a visit if required. They ensured we were comfortable and provided hand-written recommendations of what to do and where to visit. It’s a beautiful and safe neighbourhood and the lady downstairs is such a beautiful and charming lady. Thanks David and Pauline for making our stay one to remember.

  • "After a six plus hour journey, we were greeted by David at the property with a very warm welcome."

    The property itself far exceeded expectations and was incredibly comfortable, packed with everything you could possible need, including an iron and a hairdryer! As an added surprise, David had left a bottle of wine and some cheeses, which went down a treat! Would thoroughly recommend this property to anyone.

  • "We enjoyed our stay at The Market Lounge."

    Very clean, comfortable and well docorated apartment. The bed was especially comfortable. The apartment has the added convenience of being right in the centre of Clitheroe. Enjoyed the market, castle and interesting shops. The free parking was a major plus point. Dave the host was friendly and informative about Clitheroe.

  • "This apartment is ideally located to explore Clitheroe and the surrounding areas with good transport links (bus/train) a short walk away."

    Local facilities couldn’t be closer, with the bustling market and local supermarkets on the doorstep and some quirky local stores to boot. The apartment itself is immaculate and presented to an extremely high standard, with modern fixtures and fittings expertly blended with key features to provide a home away from home. The hosts, were exceptional, nothing was too much trouble and they will go out of their way to ensure your needs are met (and exceeded!) We have already recommended the property to several friends and family.

Be welcomed into the contemporary living space, where you can look forward to conjuring up flavourful feasts in the well-equipped kitchen, featuring a handy washer/dryer, ready to be enjoyed at the breakfast bar over a bottle of wine.

After a hearty meal, gather your loved ones on the plush seating and select a family favourite from the Smart TV, the sofa also converts into a sofa bed and can sleep two adult guests!

Wash away the day with a refreshing shower, before climbing in between the sheets of the king-size bed, there is also a Smart TV available in this room for those lazy Sunday mornings spent in front of your favourite shows.

Budding historians are well-catered for with the town’s stunning Grade I listed castle which features a maze and museum, or if that isn’t your thing, head to Brungerley Park which rests along the River Ribble or test out your swing at the excellent 18-hole Clitheroe Golf Club, brave yourself for one of Simon Entwistle's Ghost Walk tours dressed in authentic Victorian costume telling mystical tales of the past' and even a walk up Pendle Hill - famous for it's witches.

Scenic walks and cycling trails are plentiful within the Forest of Bowland AONB, where you can expect to see the 16th-century Browsholme Hall and Tithe Barn, Gisburn Forest, Jubilee Tower and the imposing peaks of Fair Snape Fell, Clougha Pike and Wolfhole Crag.

From here you can easily continue with a scenic drive to the Lake District, well-known for its plethora of watersports available on Lake Windermere, Wray Castle and Wordsworth Grasemere.
