  • "We had a memorable Autumn/47th wedding anniversary break!"

could not have asked for more...the owners of the cottage had put thought into every detail & provided every thing one could possibly need for home comforts. One of the best we've experienced...Highly recommend!! Although we did not meet with the owners... a conversation took place over the phone during our stay with Margaret, a caring & generous hostess! Many thanks

  • "We had a wonderful few days in Sandholme Cottage, such a comfortable little house in a beautiful quiet area."

The cottage was incredibly well appointed, there was nothing missing, great kitchen that was very well equipped, games and information on the local area in abundance, comfortable bedrooms and plenty of towels and toiletries. And my daughter was particularly impressed with the welcome hamper! We didn't want to leave. We were rewarded with a rainbow on our last morning, we decided the Dales didn't want us to leave either.

  • "We booked the cottage as a last minute break away to get some peace and quiet!"

We were not disappointed. We had plenty of room and there was multiple areas to relax in. The garden even had sun loungers for me to pop up and use whilst reading my book in the sun. The cottage is in an ideal location and allowed us easy access to some fantastic days out including Bolton abbey, Ingleton Waterfalls trail and Aysgarth Falls. The cottage was extremely well equipped. I had forgotten Tupperware for our picnic lunches and there was plenty in the house, even foil and cling film to keep our cheese fresh (from the courtyard dairy near settle which is a must if you’re a foodie)! The please was immaculately presented and homely. The garden and the farm surrounding the cottage ( expect ducks, sheep and chicken to cross your path regularly) really made us feel like we had taken a break from the norm. We would visit again if we ever come back to the area. Thank you for a lovely stay
