  • "We really enjoyed our stay at the Hayloft over the last weekend."

The weather was great for the time of the year and we got some good walks in. The house itself is brilliant for two couples sharing and is very well equipped. We had also stayed in the same property nine weeks earlier and we hope to return in 2022.

  • "Conveniently located."

A larger screen tv would have been beneficial. The WiFi on mobile Iphone was very intermittent. Never the less we had a good time despite the typical Lake District weather. Can recommend the Brewery and Chip Shop in Staveley and Carus Green Golf Club for dining.

  • "We had a fantastic stay, a well laid out cottage, lots of space to stretch out and relax."

The bathrooms are modern and spacious. The beds were comfortable. Tonia (the owner) was lovely and helpful. This is a perfect base for exploring the Lakes, there is so much to explore, a week is definitely not long enough! All in all we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and we will try and come back

  • "Hayloft is a great base for exploring The Lake District."

The owners were on hand if we had any queries and the cottage was situated in beautiful countryside. It was lovely watching the birds feeding in the garden and not hearing buses going pass at all hours. So peaceful. The ensuite bathrooms were fabulous and walk in showers great. The only observation here is that a grab rail and shower mat would have been useful but no complaints about the standard of the bathrooms. We wouldn't hesitate to book this lovely cottage again and this is also backed up by other comments in the visitors book.

I would stay there again in a heartbeat. The cottage itself was immaculate and suited every need and had plenty of character. The surrounding area was beautiful, and not being too far from the lakes was ideal. I am very happy after returning from this holiday and would highly recommended using Sykes Cottages.

The bathrooms were gorgeous, especially with the heated flooring! The owner was great, she was very helpful and kind. She dropped by after we had arrived to check everything was ok and we asked if there was an iron. She said no, but that she could pick one up. A few hours later - an iron had appeared! Fantastic!
