Croft Foot Farm

Set within the fells of the Lake District, a stone's throw from the popular market town of Kendal and perched on the owner's farm, is this pair of quirky wooden pods. Facing in opposite directions to maintain a level of privacy but featuring a large communal grassy area between the two pods, this group of properties is perfect for a small gathering of friends, families or couples. Both providing many scenic views of this beautiful area, you're able to step outside the door and explore your surroundings, ideal for avid walkers, hikers or cyclists. With convenient transport links to many popular neighboring towns, you're spoilt for choice when it comes to deciding on how to spend your days away. Hire a boat and explore Lake Windermere, the largest natural lake in the Lake District or learn a new skill and take a visit to the all-weather climbing and bouldering wall in Kendall and ready yourself to tackle Scafell Pike, the highest mountain in England! Enjoy a night out in the bustling town of Bowness-on-Windermere, home to an array of pubs, bars and restaurants or take the little ones to The World of Beatrix Potter where her characters are brought to life. However you plan to spend your holiday, there's something to please everyone here, and this excellent group of pods is sure to be the perfect base to complete a staycation in the Lake District.

The property

Resting in the civil parish of Docker, Cumbria, on the owner's farm is this quirky wooden pod, Tan.

Upon arrival, you will be in awe of the tranquil setting of the pod, positioned on open greenery with views of the surrounding fells, inviting you to take perch on the picnic bench positioned on the decking to enjoy a welcome glass of wine as you soak in the horizon.

Completing the interior is the shower room, ideal for winding down after those muddy treks exploring the local area.

About the location

KENDAL

Windermere 8 miles.

A historic market town with a fine reputation for shopping, Kendal nestles on the banks of the River Kent and is known as the Southern Gateway to the Lakes. Its old cobbled lanes and byways branch off the attractive main street, and the stone ruins of 12th century Kendal Castle sit perched on a hill with views over the town. Visit The Abbot Hall Art Gallery, its regular collection holding portraits by Kendal born George Romney and works by Turner and Ruskin, with other exhibitions through its links with the Tate. Both Sizergh Castle and Levens Hall with its superb Topiary Garden are nearby, as are limestone escarpments for easy walking, offering thrilling views of the Lakeland Mountains, the Howgills and Morecambe Bay. Kendal itself is ideally placed for exploring South Lakeland, the Yorkshire Dales and beyond. With other attractions such as Kendal Museum and the Museum of Lakeland Life, the fascinating Quaker Tapestry, Lake Windermere and the wider National Park within easy reach, Kendal provides a superb base for a relaxing break.
