  • "Lovely place and we had a good time."

    The only thing I struggle with was that I could not find any matches and it was a bit cold. But I borrowed some off the neighbour and then it was really toasty. The perils of no one smoking these days!! But generally was perfect!

    Main supermarkets are 6 miles away in Kendal. Not really far to drive to visit all the Lake District has to offer. Scenery is totally stunning!

    3, comfy settees.Bownwess is about 15 drive, Staveley about 10 mins in car ,nice pub in Staveley the eagle and childe for meals and a spar shop ect..kendal about 15 mins by car.Lovely view from bedrooms.We slept well.parking space outside front door friendly neighbours.kitchen very well stocked with utensils ,pots ,pans cutlery, no washing machine or dryer but we didnt need one for our stay.Small backyard with table and chairs.

    The location is handy for lots of interesting places around Lake Windermere and the close proximity of the Sun Inn with its good food was an added bonus.

The pretty hamlet of Crook is situated in beautiful Lakeland countryside and offers excellent access to the heart of the Lake District National Park. There are two hotels/pubs in Crook itself and a wide variety of super walks on the surrounding fells. Less than six miles from Lake Windermere - England's longest lake - and a similar distance from all of the amenities of Kendal, Cumbria's historic market town.
