  • "Lovely place and we had a good time."

The only thing I struggle with was that I could not find any matches and it was a bit cold. But I borrowed some off the neighbour and then it was really toasty. The perils of no one smoking these days!! But generally was perfect!

Main supermarkets are 6 miles away in Kendal. Not really far to drive to visit all the Lake District has to offer. Scenery is totally stunning!

  • "During our stay the weather was poor, but the cottage with a good supply of books, CDs, DVDs and jigsaws provided a cozy haven from the storm!"

The location is handy for lots of interesting places around Lake Windermere and the close proximity of the Sun Inn with its good food was an added bonus.
