  • "A good base for what we wanted, the damp problem in the kitchen does need addressing as the noise of the dehumidifier is annoying and ultimately won’t solve the problem."

The kids loved the comic selection and games to play with and it was very cosy and homely with the log burner lit.

  • "We were very disappointed with the yard at the rear of property."

Unable to sit out in the sun. The flooring was very dirty. I brushed the leaves etc without success. I was going to use water on it to give it a scrub but was not sure if water would drain away. On the whole we were very disappointed.

  • "Lovely place and we had a good time."

The only thing I struggle with was that I could not find any matches and it was a bit cold. But I borrowed some off the neighbour and then it was really toasty. The perils of no one smoking these days!! But generally was perfect!

The location is handy for lots of interesting places around Lake Windermere and the close proximity of the Sun Inn with its good food was an added bonus.
