Very tranquil. Good communication from.owners. Ideal situation for exploring Southern Lakes if a bit remote from any shops etc. Dig friendly too. Definitely recommend

  • "We have just spent a week at this delightful cottage which is in lovely peaceful surroundings next to the River Gilpin."

Very well equipped to a high standard, it had everything we needed. Highly recommended. The description says "Pub 5 mins walk" which is rather optimistic as it's well over a mile!

  • "Lovely cottage in idilic location."

Very clean and well maintained. The owners were very helpful when we arrived. The facilities are excellent. There was plenty of space for the two of us and a dog. Very peaceful location. We visited Bowness, Keswick and Kendal. Lots of nice dog friendly cafes and pubs in the area.

  • "We have just come back from a lovely stay in Bobbin Mill Cottage and it was absolutely perfect!"

" On arrival we were greeted by the lovely owners who explained everything to make our stay as comfortable as possible and the welcome pack of Tea, Coffee, Milk and Biscuits was a lovely thought so a big thankyou for that! The Cottage is situated in a tiny hamlet well away from noise and light pollution and with exceptional facilities including a safe haven for our Mini Schnauzer Molly - everything you could possibly want for a relaxing comfortable stay. Most evenings were spent sitting on the patio with a glass of wine listening to the birds and the tiny river bubbling away next the us. The village of Crosthwaite is perfectly situated for visiting the Lakes and although there's no longer a village shop, the bustling town of Kendal us only a short drive away for everyday essentials. All in all, we had a fantastic holiday and we're already planning another visit to Bobbin Mill Cottage later this year! Lee, Sarah, Lucy and Molly xx

  • "It was really lovely, thoroughly enjoyed the stay and would come back."

Only gripe is the pillows in the main room were rather flat.

Very quiet and beautiful location, would highly recommend.

  • "We very much enjoyed our stay at Bobbin Mill Cottage."

All the facilities (shower, bathroom, roof windows, central heating, kitchen, TV, WiFi) worked properly - the owners have clearly purchased the best. There were excellent walks for us and our dog, directly from the cottage. The owners recommended several local restaurants that provided to be excellent. The only issue was parking, caused by an absent neighbour's thoughtless position in which he left his car - I had to reverse out each time, across a tight bridge and ended up scraping my car.

  • "Tucked away in tranquil spot with lovely walks on the doorstep but close enough to the Lakes."

Cottage was spotless and had everything we needed. Owners were very amenable and offered us another night to avoid driving home in storm Eunice. Tracy

  • "This cottage is in a wonderful location, bubbling stream, attractive gardens, really tranquil."

Convenient for the Lakes and mountains but far enough away to avoid the bustle. The cottage is equipped to a high standard and we wanted for nothing. One suggestion to all owners, wider longer, beds!

  • "Holiday cottage was perfect, couldn’t fault it but the Admin on your side was poor."

You made a typo with my email address and failed to send the booking confirmation until I chased the day before the holiday. You initially denied there was a booking because you couldn’t find the correct email address even though funds had been taken. Luckily resolved within a few hours once your team realised their error but unnecessary stress.

  • "Access to the hotel swimming pool was great & we used it a lot."

The cottage was very comfortable and in a quiet, attractive location. The hosts were friendly & gave us lots of tips about local places to visit with the children. Cottage would be even better if shower was upgraded & there was a heated towel rail/somewhere to dry wet things.
