  • "The owner of the property was lovely offered help if needed ."

The property its self was O K but it was lacking in home comforts The chairs in the main room were not very comfortable we couldn’t sit on them . TheTV in the room was very small and no T V in the bedrooms . Lack of a ironing board and iron no hairdryer little thing it’s a shame because it was a lovely place and we would of gone back again if it hadn’t been lacking what l would expect from a holiday home .

Hi Yvonne & Mick. Thank you for coming to stay at Pea Top Cottage and taking the time to write your review. I’m sorry there were no hairdryers - an oversight on my part for not checking. The originals must have gone on walkabout, but please be assured they have now been replaced. I’ve added that an iron & ironing board are available on request on the information page - this is a great idea, thank you. That said, I’m disappointed you didn’t ask about either of these when you were here as I’d have sorted them for you straight away. We do not advertise televisions in bedrooms, and whilst I appreciate I cannot cater to everyone’s requirements the feedback on comfort is good, so I was surprised to read your comment on the sofa and chairs. I’m glad you were able to enjoy your stay nonetheless and appreciate the thank-you-card you kindly left. With best wishes, Joanna Property Owner

Lots of places to visit in the area. Everyone knows about the Lake District and we did some very enjoyable walking there. We have a nervous border collie and the Eden Valley is equally beautiful but the quieter nature of the Eden Valley helped her to relax while on holiday. We were allowed to use the paddock for short walks while we were at the cottage; also very helpful. All in all a very enjoyable holiday and we will very probably return sometime in the future.

The accommodation was in a beautiful quiet country location, but with easy access to the lakes including Keswick, Penrith and other areas of interest. Acorn Bank Trust house is close by and is definitely worth a visit,If you do visit Penrith, park at Sainsbury you get three hours free parking. We visited during the heatwave and the owners were very helpful in looking after our needs, providing a large fan to keep us cool. A big plus for us was a safe area for our little dogs to run around in. The cottage was immaculately clean and having a full-length bath was a big plus. There is lots of storage and drawers and the rooms are of a good size. The seating in the living room needs some attention and Joanne is aware of this and is going to improve it. We had a lovely week and are looking forward to staying next year all being well.

They are not suitably for people with disability’s even though there is a ramp for easy access the owners very helpfull

Thank you for your feedback. Although the property does have ramp access to it, it is not advertised as suitable for those with a disability and had you had any concerns prior to booking we could have contact the owner to gain further information to ensure it was suited to your needs. The owner was disappointed to read your comments on the soft furnishings, while they appreciate they cannot cater to everyone's requirements the usual feedback regarding beds and sofas are excellent. Had they been made aware of your struggle with the sofa they could have made implements available for you to combat your problem and make your stay more enjoyable, it is regrettable that they were not given this opportunity. Over all the owners hope this didn't detract from your stay at Pea Top Cottage and look forward to seeing you again soon. Property Owner
