• "Great location, beautiful well maintained house."

  Friendly hosts with a great local pub that serves fantastic food. Having an electric plug in car charger would have been beneficial for us, especially as we'd travelled a long distance and we used our car for daily outings during our weeks stay.

• "This is a 5 star property with lovely comfortable furnishings."

  We travelled with our two adult daughters and there is enough room for everyone, with a small self contained annex section giving more privacy if needed. There were lots of small touches made by the hosts Karen & John, including a welcome hamper, fresh flowers, and a lovely welcome upon arrival. Nothing has been forgotten about, there are robes and plastic glasses for the huge hot tub and wood for the log burner. This is the best equipped home we've stayed at (and we've used Sykes and Airbnb extensively). Location wise you are in the countryside but close to towns for all the amenities needed. We had mixed weather - but the cottage is cosy and so comfortable. 100% would recommend and will be back!

• "We really enjoyed our stay at Vine cottage."

  The cottage is beautiful, very spacious & very well equipped. Karen & John are fantastic hosts, very welcoming & nothing was too much trouble. The welcome pack is a very nice touch & the bottle of beer left for my son for his 18th birthday was very thoughtful. We can't wait to come back.

• "We must have searched a 100 properties before we came across this gem of a cottage, as soon as we saw the photographs we knew it had the WOW factor that we were looking for."

  As they say the proof is in the pudding and this cottage certainly didn't disappoint. It has been lovingly and thoughtfully restored throughout with real attention paid to what guests might need during their stay. The property is spacious, in pristine condition and spotless throughout. The Cottage also has a fantastic hot tub that is maintained daily and is located in an outbuilding which has a window that looks over the countryside - very picturesque and just added to the chill time we were looking for. Superb log fire, which added to the whole cosiness of the property. Greeted by Karen and John, who gave us a really warm welcome and were on hand throughout the week should we need them and nothing was too much trouble - brilliant hosts. Fantastic welcome pack on arrival and flowers too; both of which were a real nice touch. Even the dog wasn't left out as there were treats for him too. We had a fantastic relaxing week at the Vine Cottage and hope to return again. If I could score the Cottage higher I would!

• "On walking into Vine Cottage you feel a huge sense of peace and calm."

  There is the most thoughtful Welcome Pack with delicious treats to greet you as well as a beautiful vase of fresh flowers. As you explore the cottage further it's clearly been lovingly and thoughtfully decorated and furnished. It is immaculate! The furnishings throughout are of an exceptionally high quality as are the toiletries that are again such a thoughtful touch from Karen. Never have we stayed in such an exceptional, well equipped property as it has everything and more than you could possibly wish for! Karen and John are such lovely, warm, welcoming people who will go above and beyond to make your stay perfect. We didn't want to leave!!

• "Externally traditional, internally impeccably restored and modernised, immaculate and with amazing attention to detail."

  Situated in a quiet village, the main noises are pink footed geese flying in formation overhead, and even the church bells seemed muted and did not disturb us. Relax!

• "After staying here for a week on a family holiday in September 2023 I can highly recommend Vine Cottage."

  It is a beautiful spacious modern home but still retains the character of old-world charm. Karen and John have done an amazing job in the refurbishment of what was originally Karen’s family home. Everything about it oozes quality and the kitchen is truly well equipped with everything you could need. The welcome basket and all the extra touches from fresh flowers to doggy treats was very much appreciated

  It was beautifully decorated and furnished, high specification on every aspect. The property owners were on hand to help with any query and check that all was running smoothly throughout our stay. Would recommend the accommodation and hope to return again for a second stay soon.

• "We hired Vine Cottage as an extension to our house and a place near to the place where our son and his new wife were celebrating their wedding."

  Karen and John are wonderful hosts and were very accommodating if we needed anything. The hot tub was well used and well maintained. Once my family had gone home me and my husband spent the rest of the week there exploring Pilling, visiting the outdoor theatre in Lancaster and visiting the local places that we had driven past so many times. It was a very relaxing holiday even though we were only 9 minutes down the road!

• "This is a superb property and one of the best cottages we have stayed at."

  All you need for your stay is provided, including a lovely welcoming box on arrival. Karen and John are very attentive and within 2 hours of our arrival constructed a wire cover for the left gate to stop our small dog being able to get out. • "We had the most wonderful stay at Vine Cottage."

  If I could sum it up, I'd say it's like a house hotel! All the luxury of a spotless and contemporary hotel with all the advantages of a cosy, homely house (not to mention the great garden and lavish hot tub!). It was easy to find coming down from Scotland and is ideally placed in an idyllic rural location but within easy reach of the M6. During our stay we took quite a few day trips into Blackpool, which was around a half hour drive away, and found some wee gems on the country lanes along the way! Hopping into the hot tub when the kids were finally in bed was just the best way to wind down after a busy day! And opening the bifold doors and letting the children come and go from the garden whilst being able to keep an eye on them was just fantastic too. It's genuinely the most beautiful place we've ever stayed, there are not enough superlatives to describe how much we loved it! Waking up to the beautiful greenery and the church bells in the morning is how everyone should start their day. It's clear that so much love has gone into the house, it is a true home from home and we were not short of any home comforts or essentials, in fact, we felt extremely well looked after and catered to, especially with the fab toiletry baskets and the beautiful welcome hamper. Host Karen couldn't do enough for us and was so friendly and helpful. We'll most definitely be back so it's not goodbye to Vine Cottage for us, just see you soon!

• "Karen and John are lovely owners who live next door."

  The cottage is 5* plus and a real gem. It's spacious, spotlessly clean, bright and airy and really well equipped with everything thought of.. The outside area is lovely, plenty of room to park and to sit outside and the hot tub a real bonus. Inside, each room is comfortable and kitted out to a high standard with lots of extra touches. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was a great place to shut off, chill out and relax.

• "Best cottage holiday we've ever been on."

  Fantastic house and garden, lovely views in every direction, safe and spacious for the kids. House was full of character, spotless and so spacious despite there being 8 of us. Kitchen very well stocked for proper meals, separate snug amazing if you want a break out room for kids to play in. Hot tub was fabulous. Hosts friendly and accessible, little touches like a welcome basket and robes made it feel luxurious. So many day trips nearby with lovely country roads to make the journey fly by. Can't wait to visit again.

• "A beautiful cottage renovated to a very high standard."

  Would highly recommend. We had a wonderful, relaxing, comfortable stay at Vine Cottage. We cannot emphasise enough the fantastic facilities within the property. The owners have thought of everything. Plentiful crockery & utensils in the kitchen plus all the little things like dishwasher tablets, foil, tea, coffee etc. The beds are very comfortable with high quality bedding and the bathrooms are to a very high standard. The hot tub was an extra bonus and again there are robes for each guest to use and a pair of flip flops. Special touches like fresh flowers and a welcome hamper were greatly appreciated. We wanted for nothing. The hosts Karen & John were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and informative. All we can say is thank you for letting us stay in your beautiful cottage we will definitely be returning very soon.

• "Vine Cottage was a really exceptional house."

  We arrived to be met by the owners and had a tour of the house. They answered all of our questions about the property and the local area. We were made to feel very welcome. We were very impressed by the tasteful decor and open plan living space. There was a welcome hamper and a vase of flowers and our dog Syd was catered for too. He had treats, poo bags, bowls, a mat and a towel! The bedrooms were all spacious and had plenty of storage space.There was great attention to detail. We loved the toiletries in the bathroom, another extra we had not expected.Everywhere was immaculate and exceptionally clean. The hot tub was perfect and had a lovely view over the countryside. I would thoroughly recommend this property and would love to go back again.

• "We had a totally fabulous stay at Vine cottage."

  It was presented beautifully with every care and attention to detail. The layout of the property was really great- tons of comfy seating and break out spaces for a large group, amazing huge table for meals and board games, a wonderful outside space + hot tub. Underfloor heating and the lovely fireplace made the property very cosy. Nothing was too much trouble. We all just loved it. We’d highly recommend.

• "An Amazing property, beautifully decorated, great spaces for all."

  Very welcoming with a lovely welcoming hamper and Karen (host) and decorated it with balloons on my request for a big birthday. Kitchen very well stock and all details thought of. Hot tub is maintained daily and although the owners are just next door they are not intrusive at all. Would love to go back in the summer and be able to use the garden to its full capacity.

• "We planned a girls trip to switch off and relax this property was the perfect getaway for it!"

  Karen couldn’t have been a more helpful and accommodating host who went above and beyond including offering to help with my flat tyre! The property was so beautiful inside and out and done to such a high standard it had everything we needed with plenty of space for us 7 girls.
