Park up in an off-road parking space before making your way inside to the sitting room, where you can unwind on a chesterfield sofa with a large TV with Sky for a family favourite.

To keep the adults entertained there is a stylish bar area, hosting a pool table, darts, as well as a gaming arcade for a trip back in time with Pacman Space Invaders and Donkey Kong!

The young ones can escape the adults to the playroom, where they can have their own flat screen TV with Sky and choose between a great selection of DVDs.

When stomachs start to rumble, rustle up heart-warming meals in the rustic kitchen, with an oil AGA cooker and electric cooker to assist you or why not make a steaming bowl of soup courtesy of the soup maker?

Why not enjoy a peaceful fishing spot on the river and afterwards play a game of football on the lawned area whilst the little ones build sandcastles in the sandpit?

Take a short stroll along the river to reach the local pub, where a beer garden entices you to have a gin in the sun and the kids can make use of the children’s play area; the food is also outstanding so be sure to fill your boots here!

Opposite, you will find a Thai restaurant for those of you who enjoy oriental cuisine but if that’s not to your taste, venture into the bustling town of Penrith for a great selection of eateries to treat your loved ones.

Within easy reach is the quaint village of Pooley Bridge, which is peppered with teashops and Greystone houses and overlooks a scenic lake.

For a stunning backdrop of mountains and the second largest lake in the Lake District, venture to Ullswater, where you can unwind on a lake cruise or enjoy a picturesque picnic; Ullswater is also close to cascading waterfalls for excellent photo opportunities.
