A superb stone-built period cottage in the picturesque village of Eldroth, four miles from Austwick in the Forest of Bowland, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, close to the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

Downstairs, the delightful sitting room looks out into the pretty front garden creating a wonderfully tranquil atmosphere, the room also features a woodburning stove, perfect for sitting back in front of and forgetting life's troubles.

The ground floor is complete with a well-equipped kitchen with dining table, ideal for preparing a packed lunch for an adventurous day out in the surrounding Dales countryside or enjoying meals together at the table, or for alfresco dining a table is also provided in the large garden at the front of the cottage.

This lovely cottage is in an enviable location with some fabulous walking and cycling routes right on the doorstep, or further afield set off points to the famous Yorkshire Dales' three peaks can be found within half an hour’s drive.

Nearby attractions include The bustling market town of Settle, with its quaint square overlooked by historic three-storey buildings and a fine selection of shops, pubs and restaurants is just 4 miles away.

Enjoying a trip on the Settle-Carlisle Railway isn't to be missed, possibly the most scenic train rides in the land through the lush rolling hills of the Eden Valley.

With the Lake District within 45 minutes’ drive and the Dales on the doorstep, this makes for a wonderful base to enjoy two of the most stunning areas of the country!

Situated on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales National Park, this is arguably one of the finest areas for walking in the region. With limestone pavements and scars, caves and open moors, the area has a wealth of natural interest and there are wonderful cycle tracks and walks on the doorstep. Austwick boasts a local pub serving excellent home cooked meals and a country hotel for something a little more special, as well as a shop and Post Office for visitors’ daily requirements. This quiet village is nicely off the beaten track, yet the market towns of Settle, Kirkby Lonsdale, Skipton and Kendal are all within easy driving distance.
